# Jobs Product Principles

## Principle

Make product communication concrete through focus, prioritization, demonstration, and a clear statement of why a capability matters to the user.

## Use when

- A product launch is overloaded with features.
- The value proposition is abstract but the product can be demonstrated.
- The product story and actual experience are misaligned.

## Do not over-apply

- Presentation craft does not rescue weak product value or poor distribution.
- Do not copy Apple aesthetics or personality as a substitute for product truth.

## Decision questions

- What can the buyer see or experience directly?
- Which feature changes the decision?
- What can be removed from the story without losing the core value?
- Does the launch promise match what a customer can use today?

## Counterweight

Pair product focus with customer and category research so simplicity is not achieved by ignoring what buyers actually need.
