# We're the Superhumans (Channel 4 · 2016)

## Insight
After "Meet the Superhumans" established Paralympic athletes as elite competitors, the next step was to expand the circle from heroic athletes to all disabled people in everyday life.

## Mechanic
A film featuring Paralympic athletes alongside disabled people in ordinary situations — playing music, working, cooking, laughing — all set to the song "Yes I Can." The scope deliberately expands beyond sport into daily existence.

## Why it worked
The sequel evolved the platform rather than repeating it. The first campaign said "these athletes are superhuman"; this campaign said "we are all superhuman." The expansion of the definition is the creative move — it prevents self-plagiarism and deepens the brand platform.

## Steal
When extending a successful campaign, the second execution must widen the circle of who the idea includes. Narrower sequels are self-copying; wider sequels are platform-building.
