# Sources and provenance

This plugin is a synthesis rather than a copy of either source.

## User-supplied baseline

The initial rule set came from a user-supplied skill titled `Human - de-AI-ifying prose`. Its core ideas were incorporated and refined here, including concrete-over-generic prose, negative-parallelism checks, present-participle tack-ons, rule-of-three checks, dialogue grounding, continuity checks, question-mark audits, and a strict no-em-dash preference. Later user-supplied regression cases added semantic beat analysis; structural checks for authorial-management leakage, redundant demonstrations, procedural bookkeeping, sensory inventory, post-event micro-interpretation, and mechanical fact-gathering dialogue; composition in coherent units of thought and movement; syntactic hierarchy; and a pre-return fiction quality gate.

## Wikipedia reference

Additional pattern categories were distilled from `Wikipedia:Signs of AI writing`, a community-maintained descriptive inventory of possible LLM-writing signs. The source explicitly warns that the patterns are descriptive rather than proof of AI authorship and that many also occur in human writing.
