The single-shot update orchestrator (scripts/update.sh) runs one OS-aware fast path for macOS, Linux, and WSL2. v1.7 adds real Claude Code plugin handling: discovery compares installed_plugins.json against each marketplace's declared version so only genuinely-outdated plugins are flagged (no more 'update all'), apply refreshes the trusted marketplace git source ff-only, and the cache reinstall (which has no headless path) is handed off as a consolidated '/plugin update' + relaunch manual step. v1.7 also adds an 'apply all except flagged risks' gate option (drops categories a compat warning implicates) plus an 'apply including flagged risks' path guarded by an explicit confirmation, and a standing compatibility disclaimer — an absent risk flag is not a safety guarantee. On Linux, language tools, snap, and flatpak are auto-applied; apt/dnf/pacman upgrades are surfaced as manual sudo steps (never run — upkeep never uses sudo). On WSL2, Windows package managers (winget/scoop/choco) are audit-only. The skill is a thin two-turn wrapper: turn 1 builds the plan and renders one approval gate, turn 2 applies and reports. brew-update TTL caching (1h default) keeps macOS warm runs <5s. The deterministic pattern-table failure diagnoser (scripts/diagnose.sh) covers macOS and Linux failures. All v1.2-v1.6 security invariants preserved: hardcoded dispatcher allowlist (apt/dnf/pacman excluded by design), discovery JSON sanitization, exact-match remote URL validation, trust-on-first-use, plan/apply turn separation, canonical-path containment (skills + plugin marketplaces), TOCTOU-safe plan write. Five entry points: deep, quick, audit, update, upkeep."},"observed_at":"2026-11-06T10:50:36Z"}}
