What works across countries: structure and check-digit checks for IBANs from 70+ IBAN countries, and Peppol checks that use the international Peppol network: receiver lookups in the live Peppol registers and invoice checks against a listed subset of Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 rules. What is Belgian: a bare business number is looked up as a Belgian enterprise number (KBO, Peppol scheme 0208) unless another scheme is given. Jithox does not query the KBO or any other company or VAT register.
