Commons files are free to reuse under the licence on the file page. An Internet Archive item is included only when its record states a free licence.\n\nWe do not rip videos: downloading from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X, Douyin, Bilibili or Xiaohongshu, or stripping a watermark, breaks those sites' terms. A request for one of those downloads, or for watermark removal, gets that explanation and no file. For your own videos, the export tool gives the official steps from YouTube Help, Instagram Help, TikTok's data-download help page and the X archive settings page.\n\nPexels and Pixabay are searched only when their API keys are configured (stored in the operator vault, never in this service's answers). A YouTube watch link returns public metadata: oEmbed when no YouTube Data API key is configured, or the Data API when one is. Neither path returns a download. Caption files are not downloaded; the Data API may name tracks when it allows that.\n\nNothing you ask is stored.
