CLI installed and logged in (see setup skill).\n2. No cluster context required -- backup operations use `--cluster-id` directly.\n\n## Commands Reference\n\n### Create a Backup\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup create --cluster-id <cluster-id>\n# Optional:\n# --database <database-name>\n# --collection <collection-name>\n# --backup-type <CLUSTER|COLLECTION>\n# Or use raw JSON: --body '{...}'\n```\n\n### List Backups\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup list\n# Optional:\n# --project-id <filter-by-project-id>\n# --cluster-id <filter-by-cluster-id>\n# --creation-method <MANUAL|AUTO>\n# --backup-type <CLUSTER|COLLECTION>\n# Pagination: --page-size <n> --page <n>\n# Fetch all pages: --all\n```\n\n### Describe a Backup\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup describe --cluster-id <cluster-id> --backup-id <backup-id>\n```\n\n### Delete a Backup\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup delete --cluster-id <cluster-id> --backup-id <backup-id-to-delete>\n```\n\n### Export a Backup\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup export \\\n --cluster-id <cluster-id> \\\n --backup-id <backup-id> \\\n --integration-id <storage-integration-id>\n# Optional: --directory <directory>\n```\n\n### Restore to a New Cluster\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup restore-cluster \\\n --cluster-id <source-cluster-id> \\\n --backup-id <backup-id-to-restore> \\\n --project-id <target-project-id> \\\n --name <new-cluster-name> \\\n --cu-size <compute-units-for-new-cluster> \\\n --collection-status <LOADED|NOT_LOADED>\n```\n\n### Restore Specific Collections\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup restore-collection \\\n --cluster-id <source-cluster-id> \\\n --backup-id <backup-id> \\\n --dest-cluster-id <destination-cluster-id>\n# Or use raw JSON: --body '{\"collections\": [{\"source\": \"col1\", \"target\": \"col1_restored\"}]}'\n```\n\n### Describe Backup Policy\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup describe-policy --cluster-id <cluster-id>\n```\n\n### Update Backup Policy\n\n```bash\nzilliz backup update-policy --cluster-id <cluster-id> --auto-backup <true|false>\n# Optional:\n# --frequency <frequency>\n# --start-time <start-time>\n# --retention-days <days-to-retain-backups>\n# Or use raw JSON: --body '{...}'\n```\n\n## Backup Policy Format\n\nFrequency: `daily | weekdays | weekends | 1-7` (1=Mon, 7=Sun), e.g. `1,3,5`\n\nStart time: `HH:MM` or `HH:MM-HH:MM` (time window), e.g. `02:00` or `03:00-05:00`\n\n## Guidance\n\n- The backup type is automatically derived: if `--collection` is provided, it's a COLLECTION backup; otherwise it's a CLUSTER backup.\n- Backup creation, export, and restore operations are **asynchronous**. After starting, use `backup describe` to check progress.\n- The `--integration-id` for export refers to a cloud storage integration configured in the Zilliz Cloud console (see import skill for setup guidance).\n- Before deleting a backup, confirm with the user -- this is irreversible.\n- When restoring, explain the difference between cluster restore (new cluster) and collection restore (into existing cluster).\n- Suggest setting up a backup policy for production clusters.\n"},"changes":[],"summary":"First saved snapshot.
