"longDescription": "GrantCompass Canada searches more than 850 current Canadian funding programmes: federal, provincial, municipal and private grants, plus wage subsidies, tax credits, loans and awards for businesses, start-ups and non-profits. Describe your business and what you need money for, and it returns the programmes that fit, with the amount, whether each one is open right now, why it fits, and a link to its full page.\n\nAsk whether you qualify for a specific programme and it checks the basic requirements (province, type of organization, size, years operating, industry), tells you which you meet, and asks for anything it needs to know. It only checks basic requirements. Each programme has more conditions on its page, so a \"likely fit\" is never a guarantee.\n\nNo account needed. Covers Canadian programmes only (for the United States, see GrantCompass US). Not for scholarships, student aid or personal finance.",
