# CitedEvidence

Search over 250 million scholarly papers, check and format references, save papers to your Library, and run Deep Research and manuscript reviews from your assistant, using your CitedEvidence account.

## Use it

Install the plugin, then connect CitedEvidence when asked and sign in with your CitedEvidence account (free to create). Then ask in plain language, for example:

- "Find highly cited papers since 2018 on sleep deprivation and working memory."
- "Check these references and tell me which ones are wrong: …"
- "Format 10.1038/nature14539 and 10.1037/a0018883 in APA 7."
- "Run Deep Research on community health workers and blood pressure control in sub-Saharan Africa."
- "Review my methods section for a public health journal: …"

The skills teach the assistant to cite only papers CitedEvidence returns, to check reference lists before relying on them, and to start credit-using work only when you ask.

## Tools and credits

Searching papers and authors, following citations, formatting and checking references, and saving to your Library are free. Deep Research and manuscript reviews use credits from your CitedEvidence account, at the same rates as on citedevidence.com. Nothing can be bought inside the assistant.

## Data

The plugin connects to the CitedEvidence MCP server at `https://citedevidence.com/mcp` and sends it only what each request needs: your search terms, the references or text you ask it to check, format, research or review, and the ids of papers you save. CitedEvidence returns paper records, formatted references and results from your account. Your password and payment details are never shared with the assistant. Research, reviews and saved papers are stored in your CitedEvidence account, where you can delete them. Disconnect at any time in CitedEvidence under Profile → Connected apps.
