# SocialNarratives hosted plugin

Connects ChatGPT, Codex or Claude to SocialNarratives with OAuth and hosted
MCP (`https://socialnarratives.ai/mcp`). Nothing runs locally and no API key is
needed.

Install the packaged plugin, connect SocialNarratives, sign in to your existing
account and review the permissions. The plugin can:

- create private illustrated social stories with your existing picture credits
  (one credit per new picture),
- save free visual schedules for routines, task steps and transitions,
- read back the stories and schedules it made, and follow story progress.

It cannot see stories you made in SocialNarratives itself, your characters or
child profiles, and it cannot buy anything, publish anything or change your
account. Everything it makes is private to your account.

Try "Create a social story about a first visit to the dentist for a 6-year-old"
or "Make a visual morning routine schedule with 6 steps."

Please describe situations in general terms and use roles such as "the child"
instead of real names. Leave out diagnoses and health details.

Disconnect in Connected apps (`https://socialnarratives.ai/agent/connections`).
Disconnecting keeps your stories, schedules and credits; a story already
started may still finish.

Account connection uses Stytch. SocialNarratives processes tool requests and
stores your stories and schedules with its Firebase backend and its image and
text generation providers. See the privacy policy for how data is handled.
