# Research & Writing Copilot — v0.2.0

Skills-only plugin for evidence-based research, technical writing, fact-checking, documentation, comparisons and publication adaptation.

## Identity and compatibility

- Manifest: portable root `plugin.json` with optional `.codex-plugin/plugin.json` compatibility overlay
- No MCP server, secret, external data collector, automatic publishing or unsupported tool assumptions

## New architecture
- **18 focused skills** with routing front matter and specific workflows
- **17 new reference guides** plus seven original guides under `references/original/`
- Archived original broad skill at `references/legacy-original-skill.md`
- **10 templates** for evidence trails, briefs, fact checks, comparisons, publication review and coordination
- **30 prompt-level benchmarks**, all `not_run` until tested in an installed host
- Offline `scripts/evidence_audit.py` checks the structure of claim/source records. It never claims facts or URLs were verified.

## Coverage boundaries
Only actual host tools can browse, read documents, execute code, publish or delegate to independent agents. No skill instruction is an execution backend. Never claim to have fetched a source, verified a claim or published material without recorded evidence.
