"description": "APODICTIC Development Editor. A development editor for fiction and argument-shaped nonfiction — reads what you wrote, diagnoses structure, never rewrites. For nonfiction, the Argument Engine infers your claim, audience, and burden, then finds missing warrants, scope drift, and unmet objections in op-eds, policy briefs, testimony, academic arguments, legal briefs, and regulatory comments, with Dialectical Clarity, Red Team, Persuasion, Evidence, Field Reconnaissance, and Citation Verifier companions. For fiction: structural diagnosis, genre calibration, tag audits, plot architecture analysis, and pre-writing. Shared: revision coaching, partial manuscript diagnostic, fragment synthesis, and intake routing across 11 core passes, 38 available audits (3 universal, 20 craft, 10 genre, 5 tag), 6 research modes, 1 pre-writing pathway, and 1 intake router. Includes contract-driven and finding-driven audit integration pipeline.",

"displayName": "APODICTIC Development Editor",
"shortDescription": "Manuscript & argument editing",
"longDescription": "APODICTIC is a developmental editing assistant for authors and editors revising fiction and nonfiction manuscripts. Its main purpose is to turn a draft into a structural editorial assessment and a prioritized revision plan.\n\nFor fiction, it examines plot, pacing, character arcs, continuity, and the experience promised to readers. For argumentative nonfiction, it examines the central claim, supporting evidence, missing logical connections, and unanswered objections. It returns an editorial letter with prioritized findings and suggested types of revision. It diagnoses structure without rewriting the manuscript or inventing prose. Writers can also use it to organize feedback and plan revision sessions.\n\nBundled scripts support mechanical checks and annotated manuscript exports when the host can execute them. Saved-project resume requires persistent workspace files; independent pass agents require host delegation; optional SETEC measurements require a separate compatible installation. Availability depends on the host. APODICTIC has no author-operated backend.",
