"shortDescription": "Ingredients explained, sourced",
"longDescription": "Ask about one ingredient on a skincare or cosmetic label, by its INCI, common or chemical name, and get one plain explanation of what it is, what it does and who says so. The EU's CosIng database supplies cosmetic functions and short definitions of what an ingredient is, and ChEBI supplies chemical roles. Paula's Choice and NIVEA, skincare brands, and INKEEDecoder, an editorial ingredient website, describe ingredients in their own words, and COSMILE Europe, an industry reference, lists function labels and product types. Every statement stays with the source that made it, with a link, so you can see where sources agree and where only one says something. A definition says what an ingredient is, never what it does. COSMILE bases its function labels on CosIng, so they're credited to COSMILE and never counted as a second source agreeing. Roles HelloGem infers from cosmetic functions are labeled as inferences. Not every source covers every ingredient. Names are matched exactly, and terms a source lists alongside an ingredient aren't treated as other names for it. HelloGem doesn't give safety, medical, concentration, formulation or regulatory advice. Each answer has a Report an issue link tied to the exact HelloGem result. If the problem is in how ChatGPT worded it, paste that part. Tool requests and results are stored privately, as the privacy policy describes.",

Definitions stay apart from what an ingredient does; COSMILE's labels, which it bases on CosIng, are credited to COSMILE and never counted as agreement; product types aren't presented as effects; names match exactly; related terms stay separate from accepted names; and each answer's feedback link is tied to that exact result. Its two read-only tools carry one short answering contract: answer only from the result, in plain words, with each source named."
