"shortDescription": "TeX math in PowerPoint & Word",
"longDescription": "MathPoint connects ChatGPT to the PowerPoint presentation or Word document you have open. Ask in chat, and the changes appear in your file right away.\n\nWhat it does\n- Math: formulas are typeset with real TeX (LuaLaTeX) and inserted as crisp vector images. Display math is centered; inline math sits on the text baseline. Any formula can be re-typeset later, and its source stays with it.\n- Figures and tables: diagrams and plots (TikZ / pgfplots) and tables (tabularray) are drawn in TeX. MathPoint can also redraw a hand-drawn sketch or a screenshot pasted on a slide as a clean figure.\n- Slides and documents: ChatGPT can read slides and paragraphs, add text boxes, paragraphs, and slides, and move or delete shapes.\n- Without Office: render_math returns a typeset formula as an image right in the chat, so it also works on a phone.\n\nWho it is for\nTeachers, students, researchers, and engineers who put equations, diagrams, and tables into slides and documents.\n\nWhat you need\nPowerPoint or Word (Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 and later) with the MathPoint add-in, installed with one command from the guide, and a Google account to sign in to MathPoint. The add-in's task pane must be open in the file you want to edit.\n\nLimitations\n- Editing works only while the MathPoint task pane is open in PowerPoint or Word.\n- Images pasted in Word cannot be redrawn as figures yet (use PowerPoint for that).\n- Slide and document content is never stored on our servers; it passes through to ChatGPT only when ChatGPT reads it.",
