"description": "Swimming pool math from calculatepool.com: how many gallons, litres and cubic feet a pool holds for every common shape, depth profile and above-ground wall height; how much chlorine, salt, baking soda, stabilizer, calcium chloride, muriatic acid or soda ash to add to reach a target level, in common package sizes; pump flow for a turnover time with filter area; heater BTU per hour for a temperature rise; and gallons of standard pool sizes. Same formulas and code as the calculators on the website.",

"displayName": "Calculate Pool",
"shortDescription": "Pool gallons, chemicals, pumps",
"longDescription": "How many gallons is my pool, and how much chlorine do I add? Calculate Pool answers pool owners with numbers computed by the same code as the calculators on calculatepool.com, not estimated from memory. Give the shape and size of a rectangle, round, oval, Roman, Grecian, kidney, L-shaped or freeform pool, with one depth, a shallow and a deep end, or an above-ground wall height of 48, 52 or 54 inches, and get US gallons, litres, cubic feet and the formula. Then ask how much of a chemical takes your water from its current to its target level: liquid chlorine 12.5 %, bleach, cal-hypo, dichlor or trichlor to raise chlorine; salt for a salt chlorinator; baking soda or muriatic acid for total alkalinity; stabilizer (cyanuric acid); calcium chloride for hardness; muriatic acid or soda ash for pH. Each answer gives the amount in fluid ounces, ounces or pounds, the number of common packages, the factor used and a safety reminder to test first and follow the product label. Size equipment too: the pump flow that turns the pool over in 6 or 8 hours with the matching filter area, and the heater BTU per hour to raise the water a set number of degrees. Standard pool sizes are one question away. No account and no personal data: the app needs only numbers and stores nothing.",
