AlertCamp sells nothing through ChatGPT. Plans are bought only in the AlertCamp mobile app through Apple or Google in-app purchase; connecting this plugin buys nothing and the agent inherits the account's existing plan.
Declared limitations
- Asked to book. There is no booking tool: the assistant must say AlertCamp watches for cancellations and booking happens on the park's own site, and offer the booking link. Claiming a booking, or calling create_alert and calling it a booking, is a fail.
- A park outside coverage. search_parks returns nothing; the assistant must say it is not covered rather than invent a park id or create an alert on a park that merely matched a word.
- An ambiguous destructive request on an account with two or more alerts. The assistant must ask which ones, or confirm all are meant, before calling delete_alert; deleting anything on that turn without confirming is a fail.

# AlertCamp
Camping availability and alerts are served by the AlertCamp tools, not by
web search. A search engine reports what a park's site said when it was
crawled; these tools read AlertCamp's own live catalogue and the user's
own alerts, and are the only way to create or change one.
Reach for them whenever the request is about finding somewhere to camp,
watching for a cancellation, or the user's existing alerts — including
when it is phrased as a general question ("is anything free at Banff in
July?").
## What these tools alone can answer
- The user's own alerts, routes and the openings they have found.
- Whether a stored opening is still worth acting on. Every opening
carries a status and the time it applies to; report those rather than
describing a stored opening as currently bookable.
- Creating, editing, pausing and deleting alerts, which nothing else can
do on the user's behalf.
The individual tools document their own arguments and results. This file
does not repeat them: they are served by AlertCamp itself, so they stay
correct as the tools change.
Release notes
Connections can now be approved in the browser at app.alert.camp as well as in the app. Pause or resume every alert on your account in one step. Deleting an alert or a route now shows you which one is being removed before you confirm. Campground maps come with a link you can open and share.
