Description
From the marketplace listing
API Status Check tells you whether an online service is down right now. Ask about ChatGPT, GitHub, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Discord, Slack, Zoom, Stripe, Shopify, Cloudflare, Steam, Fortnite or about 270 other apps and APIs, by name or by domain. It reads the service's official status page at the moment you ask and reports the overall state, which components are affected, any active incidents and when they started, with a link to the official status page.
Ask about the past too: it lists the incidents a service has published over the last days or weeks, with impact and how long each lasted, so you can see whether a problem is new or recurring.
Useful when something stops working and you want to know whether it is you or them: a developer seeing errors from a third-party API, a team whose tools are failing, or anyone whose app will not load.
Limitations: it covers a fixed list of about 285 services and says so when a name is not on it. A status page shows what the vendor has acknowledged; problems limited to one region, network or account may not appear there. For services that publish no status feed it can only check whether the service's API responds, and it says when that is what it did.
