AstralRead calculates astrology data precisely instead of guessing it. Give a birth date, place and (ideally) time, and it computes the natal chart with the Swiss Ephemeris: the sign, degree and house of every planet, the North Node and Chiron, the Ascendant and Midheaven, the twelve house cusps (Koch, Placidus or Whole Sign) and the major aspects with their exact orbs. For the Sun, Moon and Ascendant it adds a short note and a link to the matching page of the AstralRead knowledge base, written from classic astrology books. It also lists the tight transits of any day to your chart (only aspects really within orb), shows the sky of a day — Moon sign and phase, lunations, sign changes, retrograde stations and exact aspects — and finds knowledge-base pages for a placement, aspect, house, pattern or transit. Vedic (Jyotish) basics: the sidereal chart (Lahiri ayanamsa, whole-sign houses from the Lagna) with the rashi, house, nakshatra and pada of every graha, and the Vimshottari dasha periods with dates. Pure calculation in a kind tone: no dosha labels, no predictions. In ChatGPT the chart is drawn as a wheel with planets, houses, aspect lines and today's transits; the Vedic chart as a South-Indian square chart with a dasha timeline. Privacy: no account is needed and nothing is stored — birth data is used only for the calculation and is not logged. Astrology here is for self-reflection, not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Works in English and Russian.

# AstralRead — getting started

AstralRead computes astrology data precisely (Swiss Ephemeris) and links to the AstralRead
knowledge base. All tools are read-only and need no account; birth data is used only for the
calculation and is not stored.

## When to use which tool
- **natal_chart** — "What's my birth chart?" Needs a birth date; a birth time and place make houses
  and the Ascendant possible. Without a time, say that houses and the Ascendant are unknown and the
  Moon may be imprecise.
- **transits_today** — "Which transits are hitting my chart today?" Same birth data, optional date.
- **sky_today** — "What's the sky like today?" No birth data needed.
- **kb_lookup** — "What does Venus square Saturn mean?" Returns knowledge-base pages with links.
- **vedic_chart** — sidereal (Lahiri) chart, rashi and nakshatra of every graha.
- **vimshottari_dasha** — Mahadasha / Antardasha periods with dates.

## How to answer
1. Ask for any missing birth data (date, time, place) in one short question.
2. Quote positions, orbs and dates exactly as the tool returns them — never recompute or round
   them differently.
3. Keep a kind, reflective tone. Astrology here is for self-reflection: no predictions of death,
   illness, accidents or breakups, no medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, no dosha
   or "bad chart" labels.
4. Offer the knowledge-base link from the result for a deeper read.
