Description
From the marketplace listing
Cims is a hiking community and catalogue centred on Catalonia, the Pyrenees and Spain. Ask about peaks and the challenges that group them (such as the 100 Cims), hiking trails with their distance, ascent and difficulty, multi-day traversals and their stages, via ferratas, canyoning descents and climbing crags, and the community's validated summits, photos and ratings. Every answer links to the matching page on fescims.com. It is for hikers, mountaineers, canyoners and climbers planning a day out or a trip. It reads the public catalogue only: there is no sign-in, nothing is booked or written, and it cannot see anyone's own summits yet. Coverage is densest in Catalonia and the Pyrenees, thinner elsewhere in Spain and sparse beyond. Grades, conditions and closures change, so check recent reports before you go.

explore-peak-challenges1.58 KB
--- name: explore-peak-challenges description: Explain the peak-bagging challenges in Cims, such as the 100 Cims of Catalonia, which peaks they include, which are essential, and who leads them. Use when someone asks about a list of peaks to climb, the 100 Cims, the essentials, a challenge in a region, or the community ranking. --- # Explore peak challenges with Cims Use the Cims connector's tools, in the user's language. ## Find the challenge Call `list_challenges`. Each challenge has a `slug`, how many peaks it has, how many are essential (must-climb), how many people take part and where its peaks are. Match the user's words to the right one; if two fit, ask which. ## Browse its peaks Call `peaks_nearby` with `challengeSlug`. Add a point (`lat`, `lng`) to start from where the user lives, `essentialOnly` for the must-climb peaks, `sort: "height"` for the highest, and `altitudeBands` to narrow by height. Results come in pages of up to 50; ask the user to narrow down rather than paging through the whole list. ## Ranking Call `challenge_leaderboard` with the `challengeSlug` for the public ranking: validated summits, distinct peaks, essentials and score. The score weighs height climbed and counts essentials extra. ## Answer Describe the challenge in a sentence or two, then answer what was asked: a few peaks to start with near the user, the essentials, or the ranking. Link each peak's `url` on fescims.com. The connector reads only the public catalogue. It cannot see the user's own summits or progress, so if they ask what they have left, say that their progress is in the Cims app.
find-vertical-routes2.12 KB
--- name: find-vertical-routes description: Find via ferratas, canyoning descents and rock climbing crags, and explain their grade, gear, timing and access. Use when someone asks about a ferrata, a barranc or canyon, or a crag or sector to climb, by place, grade, season or discipline. --- # Find ferratas, canyons and crags with Cims Use the Cims connector's tools, in the user's language. Searches near a place take its coordinates and return the nearest first. ## Via ferratas `search_ferratas` filters by `grade` band (easy is K1, moderate K2–K3, hard K4, extreme K5–K6), `feature` (zip-line, bridge), `country`, `region` and `openOnly`. `region` is a province code such as ES-L for Lleida, here and on canyons and crags; ES-CT, Catalonia as a whole, matches nothing, so search near a point or run one search per province. `get_ferrata` gives the K grade, cable length, drop, approach, route and descent times, status and ratings. ## Canyons `search_canyons` filters by `grade` band, `water` (dry or aquatic), `country` and `region`. `get_canyon` gives the vertical and aquatic grades, commitment, number and length of rappels, the rope and wetsuit needed, timings, escape points and restrictions. ## Crags `search_crags` filters by `grade` band, `approachMax` in minutes, `accessOpen`, `country` and `region` (a few lowland crags have no province). Its `discipline` and `season` filters only match crags that record them, and most don't yet, so search without them and judge style and season from `get_crag`, which lists the sectors with their aspect, approach and first routes, the rock and any access restriction. ## Answer - Lead with the best match and say why it fits: grade, time, season, distance. - Give the gear and the timings the result lists, and any closure, permit or seasonal restriction in full. Never leave out a restriction to make an option look better. - Link each result's `url` on fescims.com. These are serious activities. Say plainly when an option is beyond what the user described, and that grades, conditions and water levels change: they should check recent reports and go with someone experienced if they are new to it.
plan-a-hike2.61 KB
---
name: plan-a-hike
description: Suggest a peak to climb and a trail to climb it by. Use when someone asks for a hike, a summit or a day out in the mountains, mentions a town, comarca, valley or peak in Catalonia, the Pyrenees or Spain, or wants something easy, family- or dog-friendly, short, long or with a view.
---
# Plan a hike with Cims
Use the Cims connector's tools, in the user's language.
## 1. Find where
- **A peak by name:** call `search_peaks` with the name and keep the `slug`.
- **A town, village or valley** ("near Berga", "from Núria"): use its approximate `lat` and `lng` as the point for the next calls. Searching a town name with `search_peaks` can match a different place entirely ("Berga" finds Bergamo).
- **A comarca, province or country** ("in the Berguedà"): call `search_peaks` with it as `query` and use the `lat` and `lng` of the results as the point.
- **Coordinates the user gave you:** use them directly.
## 2. Pick the peak
Call `peaks_nearby` with the point and a `radiusKm` that fits the trip (10–20 km for a day out). Narrow with what the user asked for:
- `familyFriendly` or `dogFriendly` for families and dogs.
- `altitudeBands` for a height range.
- `essentialOnly` for the peaks a challenge marks as must-climb.
- `sort: "recommended"` when the user only wants a good idea.
Then call `get_peak` on the one or two strongest candidates. Use its community ratings (1–5, with the number of votes), its recent summits and its comments to judge how it is going this season.
## 3. Pick the trail
Call `search_trails` with `peakSlug`, or with the point when the user cares about the trailhead. Match the request with `difficulty`, `distanceBands`, `ascentBands`, `shape` (loop, out-and-back, one-way), `suitableFor`, `easyParking` and `scenery`. `suitableFor`, `scenery` and `easyParking` come from community votes, so many good trails have none: if one of them empties the list, search again without it and judge from distance, ascent and difficulty. Call `get_trail` on the best one for times, ascent, the start point and the Wikiloc link.
## 4. Answer
Give one clear suggestion first, then one or two alternatives. For each:
- the peak, its height and the trail's distance, ascent, estimated time and difficulty;
- why it fits what the user asked;
- the peak's `url` on fescims.com and the trail's Wikiloc link.
Ratings with few votes are a hint, not a verdict, so say how many votes there are. Remind the user to check the weather and conditions before going: the catalogue does not know today's snow, storms or closures.
If nothing fits, widen the radius or relax one filter and say which one you relaxed.
plan-a-traversal1.49 KB
--- name: plan-a-traversal description: Help choose and prepare a multi-day hut-to-hut or long-distance traversal, such as Carros de Foc, the Porta del Cel or a GR stage route. Use when someone asks about a trek of several days, refuges, stages, or which peaks they can add along the way. --- # Plan a traversal with Cims Use the Cims connector's tools, in the user's language. ## 1. Choose the traversal - **By name:** call `search_traversals` with the name as `query`. - **By area:** call `search_traversals` with the area's approximate `lat` and `lng`. - **By ability and time:** filter with `effort`, `maxGrade` (the SAC hiking grade, T1 to T6 as 1 to 6) and `maxDays`. ## 2. Read it in full Call `get_traversal` with the `slug`. It returns the totals, the SAC grade and its crux, whether it is circular, every stage with distance and ascent, the peaks along the way and photos. ## 3. Answer - Summarise the route: days, total distance and ascent, grade and crux, start point, circular or not. - List the stages in order, each with its start and end, distance and ascent. Point out the hardest one. - Suggest summits to add: peaks marked `onTrack` lie on the route; the others are short detours from the stage they belong to. Use `get_peak` if the user wants detail on one of them. - Link the traversal's `url` on fescims.com, and credit the photos and track source as the result gives them. Refuges need booking and the high stages depend on snow and weather, so tell the user to confirm both before setting off.
