Korean law research & checks

Create a free account to save this plugin.

From the developer

Declared capabilities

  • Search Korean statutes, precedents and Constitutional Court decisions
  • Resolve legal citations to documents with validity status
  • Read statute articles as of a date and trace their amendments

Cost & access

ClauseIt does not sell products or process payments in the conversation. All tools are read-only.

Declared limitations

  • Filing or acting outside the conversation. ClauseIt only reads legal sources, so it should not be used as if it could submit a document; the assistant should say it cannot file anything and offer to research or draft instead.
  • Law outside Korea. ClauseIt covers Korean law only, so its tools should not be called; the assistant should answer from other sources or say ClauseIt does not cover US law.
  • Personal information about a person. ClauseIt holds legal documents, not contact details; the assistant should decline and should not search ClauseIt for it.

Description

From the marketplace listing

ClauseIt brings Korean law into the conversation. It searches and reads the Korean text of statutes, Supreme Court and lower-court precedents, Constitutional Court decisions, government legal interpretations, administrative rules and selected local ordinances, as published by the National Law Information Center, and reports whether each source is still in force. What you can do with it: - Research a Korean legal question and get an evidence package of statutes, precedents and related decrees and rules, with a link to every source. - Resolve citations such as ‘민법 제750조’ or ‘대법원 2020다41002’ to the documents, with an excerpt and validity status. - Read a statute article as it stood on a given date, trace its amendments, and open annexes and forms. - Follow citations: the leading cases that cite an article, appeal history, and the decrees and rules under a statute. - Check a drafted answer or filing before it is used: whether each cited statute, article and case exists, is not repealed, unconstitutional or deleted, names the right court, and is supported by the cited passage. Who it is for: lawyers, in-house counsel, legal staff and anyone researching Korean law. Ask in any language; the sources are in Korean. Limitations: coverage of local ordinances is partial. The citation check covers citations, not the legal reasoning. Every tool only reads; ClauseIt does not file documents or act on anything outside the conversation, and its server calls no AI model. Sign in with a ClauseIt account. ClauseIt provides legal information, not legal advice.
