Description

From the marketplace listing

Dados B3 provides fundamentals and market statistics for the ~450 companies listed on B3 (Brazil's stock exchange), banks and insurers included, from 2010 to today, plus market indices, ETFs and BDRs. Every figure carries the CVM account it came from, and the full methodology is public. Valuation multiples are priced at the first trading session on or after the filing became public, so there is no look-ahead. What you can ask: - Dividends and interest on equity per share for any listed ticker, with a yearly summary and the trailing 12-month dividend yield. - Performance of a stock or of a B3 index over any period: price return, total return with dividends reinvested, maximum drawdown and volatility. - A plain-language verdict on a company's latest year: does it make money, is it indebted, is it expensive against its sector and its own history. - ETF rankings, the list of BDRs that trade on B3, and the list of listed companies and indices. - What changed in the Brazilian market in the last 30 days, how current the data is, the methodology behind each metric, a data dictionary and a reproducible audit sample. Sources: CVM open data (ODbL) and B3 public end-of-day files. Dados B3 is an independent project by Lemon Tech and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by B3 S.A. or the CVM. Read-only: the connector never places orders or moves money. It reports past measurements, not investment advice, and it has no real-time or intraday quotes. Declared limitations

  • Buy or sell recommendation. Dados B3 only measures the past, so the assistant should decline to say what to buy and may offer historical data (for example dividends or performance of a ticker the user names) instead. It should not call a tool to build a recommendation.
  • Real-time or intraday quote. The connector only has end-of-day data, so the assistant should say it has no live quote and must not present an end-of-day close as the current price.
  • Ticker that does not exist. The tool returns an error (isError true, 'Unknown ticker XXXX3: no listed company found'); the assistant should relay that the ticker was not found, suggest checking it or listing companies, and must not invent dividends or any other figure.

# Getting started with Dados B3

Dados B3 is a read-only data connector for the Brazilian stock exchange (B3). It reports what happened in the past. It does not recommend purchases or sales, does not quote real-time prices, and does not place orders.

## What you can ask

- Dividends and interest on equity per share, with a yearly summary and the 12-month dividend yield (tool `get_dividends`).
- Performance of a stock over a period: price return, total return with dividends reinvested, maximum drawdown, volatility (tool `get_stock_performance`).
- Performance of a B3 index such as IBOV, IFIX, SMLL or IDIV, useful as a benchmark (tools `get_index_performance`, `list_indices`).
- A plain-language verdict on a company's latest year: does it make money, is it indebted, is it expensive against its sector and its own history (tool `get_company_verdict`).
- The list of listed companies (`list_companies`), ETF rankings (`get_etf_rankings`) and BDRs (`list_bdrs`).
- What changed in the market in the last 30 days (`get_market_today`) and how current the data is (`get_data_coverage`).
- The method, the data dictionary and a reproducible audit sample (`get_methodology`, `get_data_dictionary`, `audit_sample`).

## How to answer

1. Resolve the ticker the user means (for example PETR4, VALE3, WEGE3). If unsure, call `list_companies`.
2. Call the most specific tool. Prefer one call per question.
3. Quote the figures as returned and keep the source and data version that come with the result.
4. Respect the flags in the data. A `flag` value explains a limitation, such as a missing comparison year. Say so instead of filling the gap.
5. If a tool returns an error, tell the user plainly what it says. Never invent a value for an unknown ticker.

## Limits to state when relevant

- Everything is historical and informational. It is not investment advice.
- Prices are end of day, never intraday.
- Valuation multiples use the price of the first trading session on or after the date the filing became public, so there is no look-ahead.
- Sources: CVM open data (ODbL) and B3 end-of-day files. Full method: https://dadosb3.com/metodologia
