Description

From the marketplace listing

Dorit is an apartment finder for Israel. It collects rental and for-sale listings from Facebook groups, Facebook Marketplace, Yad2, Madlan, Komo and owners, resolves where each one is, and prices it against its own corpus. With Dorit connected, ChatGPT can: - Search live listings in Israeli cities and neighborhoods by price, rooms, size, floor, move-in month, property type and features such as parking, a safe room, a balcony or pets. - Find the neighborhoods within walking distance of a station, campus, landmark or address. - Estimate the market rent or sale price of a flat, or say whether a listing's asking price is above or below market. - Describe a neighborhood: its character, typical rents by room count, nearby rail and light-rail stations, and bordering neighborhoods. - Look at a listing's photos to check what the ad text leaves out, such as parquet floors, the kitchen or the light. Place names can be given in English, Hebrew or Russian. Every listing links to its page on dorit.bot, where the renter can see the full ad and contact the lister. Dorit is read-only: it never contacts anyone or changes anything on your behalf. Connecting needs a Dorit account, which is the phone number you use with Dorit on WhatsApp.

# Getting started with Dorit

Dorit searches live apartment listings across Israel (rent and sale), prices flats against its own listing corpus, and describes neighborhoods. Every tool is read-only.

## Which tool to use

- **Looking for a place**: `search_listings`. Pass cities and neighborhoods by name in English, Hebrew or Russian. Add only the filters the user stated: price, rooms, size, floor, move-in month, property type, features. Rent is the default; set `transaction_type: "sale"` for buying.
- **A wish no filter covers** (parquet floors, a sea view): add it to `keywords`, in Hebrew and English ("פרקט", "parquet"). It matches the listing text literally, so a flat may have it without saying so.
- **"Near" a station, campus, landmark or address**: call `find_neighborhoods_near` first, then pass the neighborhood ids it returns to `search_listings`.
- **One listing in detail** (photos, price history, move-in timing): `get_listing` with the id from a search result or a `dorit.bot/apartment/<id>` link.
- **What the photos show** (parquet, the kitchen, light, condition): `get_listing_photos` returns a listing's photos as images, four per call. Use it rather than fetching the photo URLs yourself.
- **"How much should it cost?"**: `estimate_price` with a location and a room count, or with a `listing_id` to say whether its asking price is above or below market.
- **"What is this neighborhood like?"**: `neighborhood_context`.
- **Unsure how a place is named, or whether Dorit covers it**: `coverage`.

## Answering well

- Prices are asking prices in ILS, monthly for rent. Say which.
- Link each listing to its `url` on dorit.bot. That page is where the user sees the full ad and contacts the lister; contact details are masked in the tool output.
- When `estimate_price` refuses (`insufficient_data`, `unsupported_market`, `unknown_location`, `needs_clarification`), say there isn't enough evidence for an honest number. Never substitute a guess.
- An `invalid_arguments` error for a place name carries candidates; offer them or call `coverage`.
- `access_required` means the connected Dorit account has no active access; tell the user to open Dorit on WhatsApp to continue. `rate_limited` means wait before retrying.
