Cost & access

Users discover physical products and open Ember offer pages. Store visits require an Ember website sign-in. Purchases and payments take place on merchant websites; Ember may earn affiliate commission. The ChatGPT tool does not place orders, process payments or execute withdrawals.

Declared limitations

  • Restricted commerce: explain that gambling offers are unsupported. Do not invoke search_offers or provide acquisition links.
  • Unauthorized access to another person's private account data. Explain that the plugin cannot disclose another user's purchase or cashback history without authorization. Do not invoke search_offers, request private identifiers or credentials, or invent account records. No real third-party account or personal data is needed for this test.
  • Unsupported digital transaction: Netflix account top-up. Explain that Ember doesn't support this type of transaction; do not search for or offer Netflix top-ups. If the tool is explicitly invoked, it must return unsupported_commerce with no product cards, purchase links or cashback offers. The recording demonstrates this tool-level refusal, not non-invocation; subsequent general alternatives are ChatGPT prose, not Ember offers.

Description

From the marketplace listing

Search Ember's partner catalog for physical products by product, brand, model or intended use. View merchant information, images, prices and estimated cashback when available, then open an Ember offer page for details. Search and offer viewing do not require an Ember account. Continuing to a store requires Google sign-in on Ember's website; purchases and payments take place on the merchant's website. Results depend on catalog availability and do not guarantee the lowest price or cashback. Cashback estimates are subject to final settlement. Digital goods, subscriptions, services and restricted goods are excluded. The plugin cannot access balances, place or track orders, process payments or withdraw rewards. Ember may earn a commission on qualifying purchases through its links.
