Description

From the marketplace listing

Engram gives your AI assistant long-term memory. It stores what you ask it to remember, verbatim, and makes it searchable by meaning, so context, decisions, and preferences carry across sessions instead of being forgotten. Ask it to remember something and recall it days or weeks later. Your memory is private to your account and works across the MCP clients you connect.

---
name: recall-topic
description: Search long-term memory for past conversations about a topic. Trigger when the user asks "what do you remember about", "recall", "what did we discuss about", or asks about something that might be in their stored memory.
---

# Recall a topic from memory

1. Call `search` with a clear query based on what the user is asking about. Set limit to 5.
2. Present the results clearly: conversation title, when it was stored, and the key points from each matching chunk.
3. If the user wants more detail on a specific result, call `get_conversation` with that conversation_id to retrieve the full verbatim messages.

name: recent-memories
description: Show recently saved conversations from long-term memory. Trigger when the user asks "what have I saved", "recent memories", "what's in my memory", or wants to browse their stored conversations.
---

# Show recent memories

1. Call `list_conversations` with limit 10 and sort by updated_at descending.
2. Display the results as a clean list showing: title, date saved, and message count for each conversation.
3. If the user wants to see a specific conversation, call `get_conversation` with that conversation_id.

---
name: remember-this
description: Save a specific thing the user asks to remember (a preference, fact, decision, or goal) to long-term memory. Trigger when the user says "remember this", "remember that I…", or "save my preference for…".
---

# Remember something

1. Identify the specific content the user pointed at: the one preference, fact, decision, or goal they asked to keep. Only that content is saved.
2. Call `append_messages` with just that content, verbatim, as a single user-role message. `conversation_id` is optional; when omitted the content goes into the user's default memory. `create_conversation` is only needed when the user asks for a separately titled memory.
3. Let the user know what was saved, in one short sentence.

Release notes

2.0.2: The remember-this skill now saves only the specific content the user asks to remember (a preference, fact, decision, or goal) instead of the whole conversation. Server instructions and the append_messages tool were narrowed to match, every tool declares explicit readOnly/destructive/idempotent/openWorld annotations, and the listing copy was updated.
