Description
From the marketplace listing
Research a company before you team with it, buy from it, lend to it or invest in it. GovIntel looks up the company in public government registers and reports what they say: who it is, whether it is active, the public contracts it holds, the accounts it has filed, any exclusions or integrity records, and who declares ownership or control of it. It covers US federal contractors (SAM), US state business registers and 18 national business registers outside the US, and resolves each company to its exact registration by government identifier, so companies that share a name are not confused. It also searches the U.S. defense budget by program, so you can see which budget lines fund a line of work. Without an account you get the registry record and summary figures, the same facts GovIntel's public company pages show, with a link to that page. With a GovIntel account you also get the itemized record: filed accounts, contract history, adverse findings and declared ownership. Every answer is a sourced fact; GovIntel does not issue scores, ratings or credit decisions.

map-research-to-funding1.21 KB
--- name: map-research-to-funding description: Map a research topic to the DoD budget lines and organizations that fund similar work. --- Use this when someone describes a research or technology area and wants to know where defense money for it sits. 1. Call `get_defense_budget` with `query` set to program title words from the topic (or a program element code) to find related RDT&E, procurement and O&M budget lines. 2. For each relevant line, report its title and program element exactly as the budget book prints it, the organization, and the dollars by fiscal year as labeled (request, enacted, actual). Say when a figure mixes reconciliation or mandatory money if the tool reports it. 3. The tool's growing/shrinking movers compare the enacted year with the latest request. Say so when you use them: an enacted figure can include congressional adds or reconciliation money, so where a line shows two requests, describe growth request to request instead. 4. Present the dollars as program-element totals, not money spent on the user's specific topic, and list the lines as candidates to investigate. 5. If the user names a company, use `get_budget_exposure` (account required) to see which of those accounts have funded its awards.
screen-company1.24 KB
--- name: screen-company description: Screen a company before teaming, buying from or investing in it, using GovIntel public records. --- Use this when someone wants to know who a company really is before a decision: teaming on a bid, onboarding a supplier, lending or investing. 1. Call `search_companies` with the company's registered name (and country if known). If several candidates come back, show them with their identifiers and ask which one; never pick one silently. Two companies can share a name. 2. Call `get_company` with the chosen `company_id`. Report the registered name, identifier, status exactly as the register states it, legal form, registration date, address and register. 3. Summarize what is held: contracts, filed accounts and adverse findings counts, and say plainly which layers this country's register does not publish, so an empty section is not read as a clean record. 4. If the user has a GovIntel account, call `get_adverse_findings`, `get_past_performance`, `get_financials` and `get_ownership_and_control` for the itemized record. 5. Present findings as sourced facts for the user to verify. Never give a score, rating, risk grade or verdict, and never call a company safe or unsafe. Include the `public_page` link as the source.
vet-supplier-ownership1.01 KB
--- name: vet-supplier-ownership description: Check a supplier's declared ownership, foreign ties and exclusions from public records. --- Use this when someone needs to know who owns or controls a supplier, or whether it is excluded from government contracting. 1. Resolve the company with `search_companies`, confirming the exact entity by its identifier. 2. Call `get_company` for the registry record and summary. 3. With an account, call `get_ownership_and_control` for declared parents and controllers and how each link was matched, and `get_adverse_findings` for exclusions, sanctions-list matches and integrity records. 4. Report each item with its source and how it was matched. A name match is a lead to verify, not a finding. Say what the public record cannot show (beneficial owners beyond declared parents, facility clearance or FOCI mitigation status, classified work). 5. Do not draw conclusions about individuals. Never give a verdict on whether the supplier is acceptable; present facts for the user's own review.
