Description
From the marketplace listing
Play a historical financial life simulation entirely in ChatGPT. Choose a profession in the United States (1971–1991) or Japan (1980–2005), then make quarterly decisions about savings, stocks, housing, gold where available, and debt. Your game state persists between turns. Explore the tradeoffs of personal finance through historical economic conditions. All financial outcomes are simulated, not real investments or financial advice.

--- name: play-finance description: Play In Someone Else's Shoes historical USA and Japan investment simulations directly in chat using the connected MCP tools. --- When a user wants to play, call list_games and list_professions for their selected country. Start a session with start_game and keep the returned session_id for subsequent turns. Show cash, assets, debt, net worth, quarterly expenses and passive income. Execute trades only when requested, using the specific tool for the action (buy_stock, sell_stock, buy_gold, sell_gold, buy_house, sell_house, refinance, pay_loan), with a fresh unique request_id for each intended action; sell_stock and sell_gold take a fraction from 0 to 1, buys and pay_loan take an amount in game money. Before end_game or delete_game, confirm with the user: both are irreversible. Call next_turn once per user-requested quarter, with a fresh unique request_id; reuse the same request_id on retries. Never invent market results, game state, available actions, or historical outcomes. Do not pretend a browser link is an in-chat game.
