KitCut
Botmakers LLC v1.0.3
Animated films from an idea
From the developer
Declared capabilities
- Make animated films from an idea
- Follow a film while it is made
- Use your own pictures
Cost & access
KitCut sells nothing in ChatGPT or Codex. The plugin shows no prices and names no plan, starts no purchase, and links to no checkout or pricing page. People sign in to their KitCut account (one is made at sign-in if they have none) and use the film credits the account includes. When an account is short of credits, the plugin says what it has and when it renews, and stops there.
Declared limitations
- Editing existing footage. KitCut makes new animated films from an idea; it does not edit video a person already has. The assistant should not call a KitCut tool. It should say that KitCut cannot edit existing video, and may offer to make a new animated film about the trip instead, starting nothing unless the person then asks for it.
- Deleting films. The plugin has no tool that deletes a film, and no other tool is a substitute. The assistant should say that films cannot be deleted through the plugin and should not call stop_film or forget_character in its place. It may offer to make a film link-only (set_film_public) so it stays out of the public gallery, and should change nothing unless the person then asks for that.
- Another person's account. Every tool acts only on the signed-in person's own KitCut account, and no tool takes an email address or an account to look up. The assistant should say it can only see the connected account's own films and should not try to find anyone else's. (browse_films shows films from the public gallery only, with nothing about who made them.)
Onboarding example
Make a 10-second hand-drawn film: a hedgehog opens a tiny bakery in the forest, and the first customer is a very hungry bear.

Description
From the marketplace listing
KitCut turns an idea into a finished animated film without leaving the chat. Describe the film (the story, who is in it, the tone), add pictures if you have them (a character, a product, a logo, a sketch to follow), and choose a length and a look: hand-drawn animation, painted scenes, or a paper collage. KitCut's studio then writes the film, draws and animates it in code, narrates it, scores it, and renders a video with subtitles. What you can do - Start a film and follow it. The chat shows the film maker, the stage the film is at while it is made, and then the film itself, with a link to watch, share or download it. - Use your own pictures: attach them in the chat, add them in the film maker, or open an upload link on your phone. - Bring characters back. The characters a film draws are kept, so the next film can use them by name, which helps with a series. - Start from a template: a finished film remade for your own event, product or occasion from a few words. - Look after your films: list them, check on one, make one again with changes, stop one that is being made, and choose whether a film is public or link-only. Good to know - A film takes about 8 to 30 minutes to make, and longer films take longer. The chat gives you the film's link straight away and can check on it for you. - Films are 5 seconds to 8 minutes long. The longest film you can make, and how many can be made at once, depend on your KitCut account. - Depending on your KitCut account, a film may carry a small KitCut mark and a short KitCut closing. - Films made from the chat are link-only unless you ask for them to be public. - KitCut makes animated films. It does not edit footage you already have, and it does not make photorealistic video. - You need a KitCut account, and you sign in to it when you connect. KitCut receives what you ask it to make and the pictures you give it, not your conversation. Who it is for: anyone who needs a short explainer, a product or event video, a lesson, a story or a greeting, and wants it illustrated and narrated rather than filmed.
