Cost & access
This ChatGPT integration reads an existing MealSnap account. It does not sell subscriptions or other products, collect payment details, or process payments. Connecting requires an existing MealSnap Pro subscription bought in the iPhone app. The plugin never shows plans, prices or upgrade links.
Declared limitations
- Unsupported edit. Every tool only reads. Explain that entries can be changed in the MealSnap app, without claiming an edit or calling read tools to simulate one.
- Medical question. Give no diagnosis or medical advice. The assistant may describe what the diary records, such as meals and estimated calorie ranges, and should suggest a doctor or other qualified professional for the health question.
- Another person's diary. The connection reads only the diary of the MealSnap account signed in to it. Explain that someone else's diary is not available, without calling tools to look for it or presenting the user's own entries as theirs.

Ask about your MealSnap food diary in your own words. Look back at a week or a month, find a past meal, or read a saved review. The connection can read your diary entries: meals, drinks, activities and day ratings, with their dates, times, notes and tags, and the hunger and fullness you recorded with meals. For meals, it also reads the meal type, estimated calorie ranges, and protein and plant levels. It reads summaries and trends built from your diary, such as recurring foods and what adds the most calories, and your saved weekly and monthly reviews. It also reads your diary's time zone, language and units. Entries imported from Apple Health are included only while you let MealSnap's reviews use Health data. It can also read the body measurements you recorded: weight, waist, hips, wrist, body fat and height. It can show photos you added to meals, drinks and activities. Photos are on when you connect, and you can turn them off for this connection in MealSnap. Body photos are never sent. MealSnap doesn't send your account name, email address, date of birth or location. Anything you wrote in notes, descriptions and tags can still be read. The connection only reads. It can't add, change or delete anything in your diary. Turn photos off or disconnect at any time in MealSnap, under Settings, then Connected assistants. Calorie figures are estimates, not exact counts. Each meal's estimate is a range. To connect, you need MealSnap 3.3 or later on your iPhone and MealSnap Pro. You approve the connection with a one-time code from the app, typed on the mealsnap.app page that opens. MealSnap provides a food record, not medical or nutritional advice.
