# Animated ad or launch video
Builds a short motion graphics ad or launch video for a product, feature or offer.
- Ask for the product URL if there is one and put it in the prompt: MotionVid reads the page's copy, colors and fonts.
- Pick the aspect ratio from where it runs: 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, 1:1 for feeds, 16:9 for YouTube and landing pages.
- Keep ads short (15-30 s) unless the user says otherwise, and put the exact offer, price or CTA text in the prompt so it appears verbatim.
- For a launch or brand piece, offer style choices first (`suggest_animation_styles`); a wrong look costs a rebuild.
## Build loop
1. Collect only what changes the video: topic or script, length, aspect ratio (16:9 landscape, 9:16 for Reels/TikTok/Shorts, 1:1), narration yes/no, and any brand link or logo. Ask at most one short question, and only if the answer would change the video.
2. If the look matters and the user has not picked one, call `list_animation_styles`, then `suggest_animation_styles` with 2-6 fitting ids and let the user pick. If the account has a brand kit (`list_brand_kits`), offer it.
3. Call `create_video` with `render=true` when the user wants a file. Put any URL (site, launch page, docs) in the prompt itself: MotionVid reads its copy, palette and typography.
4. Poll `get_video_status` until the job is terminal. Don't quote an ETA; use `poll_after_seconds`.
5. Give the user the `download_url` and the `app_url` (the project in the MotionVid editor, where every scene stays editable).
## Changes after the first cut
Use `edit_video` with the job id for any change to a finished video ("change the headline", "make scene 2 blue", "shorter intro"). It edits only what the instruction names and keeps the rest. Don't rebuild with `create_video` for a tweak. Use `preview_video` to check frames before rendering again.
## Errors
If a tool returns an account or credit error, tell the user plainly what it says. Never start a purchase in chat.

# Animated chart or infographic
Builds animated data visuals: bar and line charts, comparisons, big-number stats, timelines and map explainers.
- Put every number, label, unit and date in the prompt exactly as it should appear. MotionVid charts the values it is given.
- Name the chart type if the user has one in mind (bar race, line chart, donut, map), otherwise let MotionVid choose.
- For current or public figures the user doesn't provide, say so in the prompt; MotionVid researches dated topics on the web.

---
# Explainer video
Builds a narrated explainer from a topic, a script or a URL. With a URL, MotionVid fetches the page and matches its design, so pass the link in the prompt instead of pasting the page text.
- Script provided: pass it as the prompt and say it is the narration script.
- Topic only: MotionVid writes the script and researches current topics on the web itself.
- Default length is about 30 seconds. For 60-90 second explainers, pass `duration`.
Write narration as a paraphrase of any source page, not lifted sentences.

# Logo animation
Builds a short logo reveal, intro or outro.
- Ask for the logo (image attachment, or the brand's website URL in the prompt) and the brand name as it should be spelled.
- Default to 5-10 seconds unless the user asks for longer, and no narration unless asked.
- Say the background and mood in the prompt (dark, light, energetic, minimal). If a brand kit exists (`list_brand_kits`), offer it for colors and fonts.
## Build loop

description: "Create an editable motion graphics video from a prompt or script: kinetic typography, animated titles, scene-by-scene motion design with narration and music, rendered to MP4. Use when the user asks for motion graphics, an animated video, or animation they can edit afterwards."
---
# Motion graphics
Turns a prompt or script into a finished, code-rendered motion graphics video. Every scene stays editable afterwards, by chat (`edit_video`) or in the MotionVid editor.
Good fits: kinetic typography, title sequences, animated lists and comparisons, social clips, YouTube intros, product walkthroughs.
Write the `create_video` prompt as the user's intent plus any facts that must appear verbatim (names, numbers, taglines). Leave scene planning to MotionVid.
