Declared capabilities
- Search notes
- Read notes
- Create and edit notes
Declared limitations
- "Note" here means a message to write, not something to keep in Notii. ChatGPT should just draft the text in the chat and call no Notii tool; it may offer to save it to Notii, but saves only if the user then asks.
- A general question about note-taking apps, answered from general knowledge. Nothing in the user's Notii account is needed, so no Notii tool should be called.
- "Remind me" here means "tell me", not "set a reminder". ChatGPT should answer (Canberra) and not call Notii's set_reminder or add_task.
Not specified in the available declarations: pricing & account requirements.

capture1.72 KB
--- name: capture description: Save something to Notii as a clear, well-structured note, such as the outcome of this conversation, meeting notes, a decision, a plan, research findings, a code snippet or a list of to-dos. Use when the user says "save this", "capture this", "note this down", "remember this", "add to Notii" or similar. --- # Capture to Notii 1. **What to save.** If the user said what (words after the command, or "this"), save that. Otherwise save the substance of the conversation so far: conclusions, decisions, facts and next steps, without the back-and-forth and the dead ends. 2. **Where.** If the user named a notebook or project, find its id with `list_notebooks`. Otherwise leave `notebook_id` out and the note goes to their default notebook. If a note on the same topic exists (a quick `search`), offer to add to it with `update_note` and `append_markdown` instead of making a second one. 3. **Shape it** in Markdown: - A specific, searchable title (for example "Pricing decision for the Pro plan, Oct 27"), never "Notes" or "Summary". - A short summary paragraph first. - `##` sections as the content needs them, such as Decisions, Details, Open questions, Next steps. - Action items as `- [ ]` checklist items, with the owner and the date in the text when known. - Code in fenced blocks with a language, and links as `[text](url)`. 4. **Save** with `create_note`: the title, the Markdown and, when it's obvious, one to three tags (reuse existing tags; `list_tags` shows them). 5. **Dated to-dos.** If there are to-dos with dates the user will want on their daily note, offer to add them with `add_task` and `due`, in the user's time zone. 6. **Confirm** in one line with the link: Saved "Title" to Notii ([open](url)).
find948 Bytes
--- name: find description: Answer a question from the user's Notii notes, with links to the notes it comes from. Use when the user asks what they wrote, saved, decided or planned about something, or asks to look something up in Notii. --- # Find it in Notii 1. **Search** with the key words of the question. If little comes back, search again with other words or a shorter query; `search` also finds notes about the same thing by meaning. 2. **Read** the one to five most relevant notes with `fetch`, chosen by their titles and snippets. Don't fetch everything. 3. **Answer from the notes.** Quote briefly where the exact wording matters and cite each note as `[Title](url)`. Mention when a note was last updated if timing matters. 4. **Be straight about gaps.** If notes disagree, say which is newer. If nothing relevant is there, say so and offer to start a note. Label anything that comes from general knowledge rather than the user's notes.

--- name: notii description: Work in the user's Notii (notes, notebooks, tasks, daily notes, Kanban boards, reminders and calendar) through the Notii connector. Use whenever the user mentions Notii or their notes, notebooks, to-dos, daily note, reminders or board, or asks to save, find or plan something they keep in Notii. --- # Working in Notii Notii is the user's notes app. The Notii connector acts as the user, with their access: their own notes and the notebooks (projects) people share with them. ## Which tool | To… | Use | | --- | --- | | Find notes | `search` (matches words in titles, text and attachments, then notes about the same thing by meaning), then `fetch` for a note's full text | | See recent notes, notebooks or tags | `list_notes` (by notebook or tag), `list_notebooks` (with board lanes and fields), `list_tags` | | Write | `create_note` (Markdown), `update_note` (prefer `append_markdown`; it can also rename, retag or move), `create_notebook` | | Work with tasks | `list_tasks` (soonest due first), `add_task` (to the daily note unless `note_id` is given), `complete_task` (`note_id` and `index` from `list_tasks`) | | Plan days | `get_daily_note`, `get_calendar` (`from`/`to` as YYYY-MM-DD, up to three months; includes the user's subscribed calendars) | | Remind | `set_reminder` (Notii emails the user then) | | Track work | `update_card` (board lane, due date, owner, priority and the project's own fields), `set_project_fields` | | Automate | `list_rules`, `create_rule`, `delete_rule` | | Other | `create_canvas`, `share`, `save_clip` (save a web page, a selection, an image or a link) | ## Habits - **Dates are the user's.** Pass their local date (YYYY-MM-DD) and IANA time zone (`timezone`) to `add_task`, `get_daily_note` and `set_reminder`. "Today" means the user's today. - **Write Markdown.** Headings, lists, `- [ ]` checklists (they become real tasks), tables, fenced code and ```mermaid diagrams all turn into Notii blocks. - **Link what you mention.** Every note has a `url`; cite notes as `[Title](url)` so the user can open them. - **Don't duplicate.** Before making a note about something the user already keeps, `search` for it and offer to append instead. - **Ask first** before anything that loses or sends something: `trash_note`, `update_note` with `markdown` (it replaces the whole body), `delete_rule`, and `share` (it emails the person). - **Respect access.** Notes shared view-only can be read, not changed; if a tool says so, tell the user. - **Keep the user's words.** When capturing, don't add facts the user didn't give; put open questions and follow-ups as tasks. - **Not connected?** If a tool asks to connect Notii or fails to authorize, ask the user to connect (or reconnect) the Notii connector and approve it.
today1.38 KB
--- name: today description: A daily brief from Notii, covering today's calendar, tasks due today or overdue, reminders and the daily note, plus help planning the day. Use when the user asks what's on today, to plan their day, for a standup summary, or what they have to do. --- # Today in Notii 1. **Work out the user's date and time zone** from the conversation or the system. Ask only if you can't tell. "Today" is their local date (YYYY-MM-DD). 2. **Gather** (these don't depend on each other): - `get_calendar` with `from` and `to` both today: events from their calendars, dated tasks, board cards due, reminders and the daily note. - `list_tasks` with `due_before` today: open tasks that are overdue or due today. - `get_daily_note` for today with the time zone: its Tasks and Notes. Notii makes it from the template if it doesn't exist yet. 3. **Brief, short and scannable:** - **Schedule:** events in time order, with reminders in place. - **Must do:** overdue tasks (oldest first), then today's, grouped by note. Show about ten, then "and N more". - **Daily note:** open items not already listed, and anything noted there. - Link the daily note and the notes the tasks are in. 4. **Offer next steps:** tick tasks off (`complete_task`), add tasks to today (`add_task`), set a reminder (`set_reminder`) or block out the day in the daily note (`update_note` with `append_markdown`).
