option-data-import2.15 KB
--- name: option-data-import description: "Validate, normalize, import, or delete an option-chain snapshot that the user is permitted to send. Use when a user attaches CSV or JSON data, asks how to format it, wants errors repaired, wants a private dashboard, or asks to delete that dashboard." --- # Option data import Use the hosted Option Desk MCP. Do not run a local command. ## Safety boundary - Never fetch market data. - Never ask for credentials, API keys, account numbers, positions, or names. - Do not process an upload until the user confirms that they may send it. - A user confirmation does not override the source provider's terms. - The hosted service blocks Yahoo, yfinance, and personal Alpha Vantage data. - Never invent a strike, quote, volatility, open-interest value, expiry, source, or rights statement. ## Workflow 1. If the format is unclear, call `option_snapshot_schema`. 2. Ask for the data source and rights confirmation if either is missing. 3. Call `option_validate_snapshot` before analysis. 4. Report each validation problem and the permitted repair. Ask for corrected data when a required value is missing. 5. Call `option_import_snapshot` only after the user also accepts storage for up to one hour. 6. Tell the user that the private dashboard URL is a bearer secret. 7. Use `option_delete_snapshot` when the user asks for early deletion. For analysis that does not need a dashboard, use a plot or strategy tool. Those tools remove their temporary files before they respond. ## What a zero in a quote column means Do not treat a zero bid and zero ask as an executable price of zero. Read the validation result for the accepted price, volatility and repairs. A row can also carry an explicit mid or user-supplied volatility. Do not infer that the service skipped it from the bid and ask alone. A zero bid with a positive ask differs from two zero quotes. Report how the service handled the row without substituting your own price. Before reporting analysis, read its degraded reason and skip counts. State which figures are unavailable and which remain supported by accepted inputs. Do not infer market hours or provider staleness from zero quotes alone.

--- name: options-greeks description: "Calculate and plot option Greeks from the SYNTH sample or a permitted user-supplied option-chain snapshot. Use for delta, gamma, vega, theta, vanna, charm, Greek ladders, or Greek plots." --- # Option Greeks Use the hosted Option Desk MCP. Do not run a local command or fetch market data. For `SYNTH`, call `option_plots` with `plot="greeks"`. State that the figures are synthetic sample data. For a ticker such as SPY, require an attached CSV or JSON option chain. The user must name its source and confirm that they may send it. If the file needs correction, call `option_snapshot_schema` and `option_validate_snapshot`. Use `option_plots_from_snapshot` for charts. Never ask for credentials, API keys, account numbers, or portfolio positions. Never describe user data as live or verified. Keep the source, capture time, expiry, private-research label, and no-trading warning visible. Explain model inputs and limitations. Do not recommend a contract, entry, exit, order, or position size. Read numerical Greeks from `diagnostics.greek_ladder`, with its stated units. Raw vega is per +1.00 absolute IV; divide by 100 for +0.01 IV. Do not assume a contract multiplier or currency. Use `option_report_plots` for a combined diagnostic and strategy report in one widget.
options-positioning946 Bytes
--- name: options-positioning description: "Analyze dealer-gamma assumptions, gamma walls, gamma flip, max pain, open interest, volume, and volatility geometry from SYNTH or a permitted user option-chain snapshot." --- # Option positioning Use the hosted Option Desk MCP. Do not run a local command or fetch market data. For `SYNTH`, call `option_positioning` for figures or `option_plots` for images. State that all figures and dealer signs are synthetic. For a market ticker, require a user-supplied CSV or JSON chain. Require the source name and confirmation that the user may send it. Validate unclear files before analysis. Call `option_positioning` for the summary and `option_plots_from_snapshot` for images. Dealer positions are not observed. Explain the assumed sign convention. Do not claim that a wall, gamma flip, or max-pain level predicts price. Never describe user data as live or verified. Do not recommend trades or orders.
options-strategy1.78 KB
--- name: options-strategy description: "Build and plot an option structure from SYNTH or a permitted user-supplied option-chain snapshot. Use for iron condors, butterflies, spreads, breakevens, maximum gain or loss, quoted-spread friction, or payoff plots." --- # Option strategy Use the hosted Option Desk MCP. Do not run a local command or fetch market data. For a synthetic example, call `option_strategy_plot` with `symbol="SYNTH"`. State that the result is a sample and not a market quote. For a ticker such as SPY, require an attached CSV or JSON option chain. The user must name its source and confirm that they may send it. Validate unclear files before analysis. Call `option_strategy_from_snapshot` so the payoff PNG appears in the conversation. Report the selected legs, assumptions, breakevens, maximum gain and loss when available, and quoted-spread limitations. Keep the source, capture time, expiry, private-research label, and no-trading warning visible. For a report with diagnostics and several payoffs, call `option_report_plots` once with up to three distinct strategies. Do not split the report into parallel plot calls. If that tool is unavailable, report that the connection needs a tool refresh. Use `strategy_records` for tables and expiration scenarios. These are the engine records used for the charts. Do not reconstruct legs from images. Use the returned units: no currency or contract multiplier is implied. Report `vega_per_vol_point` for a one-percentage-point IV change. Keep the patient-fill friction model separate from `natural_entry_cost`, which estimates full bid/ask crossing. Never claim that a successful tool call proves the images rendered. Do not select a trade for the user. Do not recommend entry, exit, order, or position size. Option Desk cannot place or route orders.
