Pixel Engine
Pixel Engine v1.0.0
Pixel art sprites & animations
From the developer
Declared capabilities
- Generate pixel-art sprites from a description
- Animate a sprite into a loop or sprite sheet
- Convert an image to pixel art
Cost & access
This plugin does not sell products or process payments. Generations use credits that already exist on the user's Pixel Engine account; credits and subscriptions are purchased only on pixelengine.ai, outside ChatGPT, and the plugin has no tool that buys anything.
Declared limitations
- No purchases: the plugin cannot buy credits or start a subscription. Expected: the assistant says it cannot do this and calls no tool that spends or buys; at most it reads the balance or says that plans are described on pixelengine.ai.
- No deletion: the plugin has no tool that deletes or modifies existing content. Expected: the assistant says it cannot delete anything and that the library is managed on pixelengine.ai; no tool is called.
- No access outside the connected account. Expected: the assistant declines; the tools only reach the signed-in account and the jobs this connection created, and no tool takes another user as input.
Onboarding example
Make a small knight sprite, side view facing right, then animate a sword attack.

Description
From the marketplace listing
Pixel Engine makes game-ready pixel art. Describe a character, item or tile and get a sprite. Describe a motion and get a looping animation or a sprite sheet. Convert an existing image into pixel art on a real pixel grid with a capped palette. Remove the background when an asset is ready for your engine. Pixel Engine works on your own Pixel Engine account: you sign in once on pixelengine.ai and approve the connection, and generations use the credits already on that account. An existing Pixel Engine account is required. The assistant never sees your password, and you can disconnect it at any time from your Pixel Engine account page. Results come back as images you can download, with their pixel size, palette, and, for sprite sheets, the frame count and frame size your engine needs. Generation is not deterministic, so a second take with a changed prompt is a normal part of the workflow.

Release notes
Initial release. Generate pixel-art sprites, animate them into loops or sprite sheets, convert existing images to pixel art, and remove backgrounds, on the user's own Pixel Engine account via OAuth. Results appear in a viewer in the chat that shows the sprite, plays the animation and opens the full-size file.
Declared in the saved package. Remote tools may change independently.
