Description
From the marketplace listing
Rett fra Bonden ("Straight from the Farmer") helps you discover and contact small-scale food producers across Norway. Search the producer catalogue by place, product or category — cheese, meat, vegetables, honey, fish, baked goods and farm-made specialties. Each listing shows the contact details the producer has published and, where available, opening hours, the products the producer lists, and certifications such as Debio-organic. Product lists come from the producers' own pages and can be incomplete, so the app marks when a producer only matches a broad category and suggests checking with the producer. You can assemble your own pickup order from producers who take orders through the platform. Only producers who opted in receive that order by email. The app cannot send marketing, newsletters or bulk messages. No payment happens in chat; you pay the producer directly at pickup. Useful when you are traveling in Norway and want local food, planning a farm-shop stop, or sourcing Norwegian ingredients. Listings are checked against public sources such as the Brønnøysund Register Centre and Debio, and corrected when errors are found.

Competitor profile

Declared capabilities
- Search food producers
- Read producer profiles
- Prepare pickup orders
Declared limitations
- Payment must never happen in the conversation. The app arranges pickup orders only and charges nothing. Expected: The app does not take the card details and does not charge anything. It explains that it can at most assemble a pickup order, which is paid to the producer directly at pickup.
- Out-of-scope geography. The catalogue covers Norwegian producers only and must not present Norwegian results as an answer to a foreign query. Expected: The app explains that it only covers small-scale food producers in Norway and does not offer Norwegian producers as an answer about Rome.
- No bulk or unsolicited outreach. The app only contacts a producer about the user's own pickup order. Expected: The app explains that it cannot send marketing or bulk messages; producers are only e-mailed about a pickup order the user placed themselves, and only if they opted in.
Review scenarios; not an exhaustive list.

Release notes
Improved product-specific searches for Norwegian food producers, including reindeer meat and named producers. Category matches are distinguished from confirmed products, and county searches do not imply an exact distance. Corrected tool annotations and Norway-only scope. Pickup-order messages are limited to opted-in producers; card payments, marketing and bulk email are unsupported. Updated walkthrough shows real ChatGPT web tests and these limits.
