# Search and compare a trip

Use the plugin's `search_hotels` and `search_flights` tools for current search results. This skill adds no booking, payment or account capability. Respect the user's stated preferences and request limits. The tools' server-owned validation and available schema define supported inputs.

Before searching, collect the destination city/country for hotels or different IATA departure/arrival airports for flights, travel dates, adults, child ages, guest nationality and a supported quote currency. Clarify uncertain airports, nationality, impossible or ambiguous dates and missing details. Display dates with month names; pass ISO dates to tools. For flights, children are ages 2–11; ask about infants and count ages 12+ as adults. Never send passwords, card/passport details, account data or conversation history as search input.

Use an explicit currency request first, then a confirmed conversational preference. Otherwise, a clearly supplied home country or locale can guide the choice; state the currency. Ask when unclear, including ambiguous “dollars.” Destination, guest nationality, language and network location do not select currency. Retain confirmed dates, party, nationality, currency and hotel preferences on follow-ups; change only what the traveler changes. Resolve conflicting destinations before a call. Never silently convert or relabel supplier prices.

When the user says to keep details without searching, confirm them without a tool call. Search only when the user asks to search. Use the relevant single tool once for the requested trip; respect any stricter request limit. Do not automatically retry an error or run extra searches to fill missing facts.

## Hotels

Put only short hotel preferences in `query`, retaining the structured destination and trip. Describe preference matches using returned facts; a preference, semantic label or facility match does not verify breakfast, accessibility, location suitability, pool access, charges, opening hours or closures. The tool controls supplier filters. Do not invent facility IDs or additional arguments. Hotel totals cover the stated stay and guests in one room, not a nightly or per-person amount.

## Flights

Pass the requested one-way or return dates and passenger details. Compare only returned fare facts for the same trip, passengers and currency. Show supplied local times and durations; do not invent timezone offsets or corrections. Without offsets, timing is not independently verified. Sandbox results must be labelled test inventory; Nuitée Air is the qualification carrier in sandbox, not a restriction on live production airlines.

## Compare and continue

Use concise text or ordinary Markdown, optionally a small comparison table. Show the returned total scope, actual quote currency, dates and relevant room/fare conditions. A capped result set is not every market offer or a cheapest-market guarantee. Preserve separately payable taxes/fees in their original currency and stated billing basis; do not invent a combined total. Missing charge information is unconfirmed, not zero. Show the returned notices. Unstated baggage categories, extra-bag prices and per-person/per-leg coverage are unknown; a personal item does not establish cabin or checked baggage inclusion.
