--- name: connect-accounts description: Get started with Upload-Post - check the connection, list profiles and connected social accounts (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Google Business and more), and guide the user to connect a new social account or fix one that needs reconnecting. Use on first use, when no accounts are connected, when the user asks how to connect a social network, which accounts are connected, about plans or limits, or when a tool returns reauth_required or tiktok_reconnect_required. --- # Connect accounts ## 1. Check the session Call `get_account_info`. It confirms the Upload-Post session and returns the account and plan state. If it fails with an auth error, ask the user to reconnect Upload-Post in ChatGPT's app settings. ## 2. Profiles and accounts Call `list_users`. Upload-Post groups social accounts under profiles (one per brand or client). Each profile has a `username` and its connected networks. Most tools take that `username` as `user` or `profileUsername`. Never invent a profile name. To check specific networks before publishing, pass them in `platforms`. When the account has no profile, nothing connected, or a requested network is missing or expired, the response includes `next_step` and `connect_url`: follow `next_step`. Summarise it plainly: profile → connected networks. ## 3. Connect or reconnect Social accounts are connected on the web, not in the chat. Call `get_connect_link` and give the user its `connect_url`: - New account with no profile: it creates a profile named `default` and returns a one-click link to connect accounts to it (valid 48 hours). - Existing profiles: it returns the dashboard page where they pick the profile and click the network. Ask the user to tell you when they are done, then call `list_users` again to confirm before publishing. - `reauth_required` or `tiktok_reconnect_required`: the account must be reconnected through the same link. A TikTok account connected before a feature existed (music, location, analytics) needs a reconnect to get that capability. - Upload errors such as "profile not found" or "platform not connected" already include the link and what to tell the user; pass it on instead of retrying. - Facebook and LinkedIn company Pages: connect the account, then pick the Page when posting (`get_facebook_pages`, `get_linkedin_pages`). ## 4. Plans If a tool reports that the plan limit was reached, say so plainly and point to https://app.upload-post.com to manage the plan; do not retry. ## 5. Next step Suggest what fits what the user said: `publish-video`, `schedule-social-posts`, `content-calendar`, `social-media-analytics`, `reply-to-comments`, `instagram-auto-dm`, or `video-to-shorts`.

name: content-calendar
description: Plan a social media content calendar (a week or a month of posts) and set up a recurring posting schedule with Upload-Post's posting queue, so content drips out at fixed times on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Facebook and more. Use when the user wants a posting schedule, a weekly plan, consistent posting, best times to post, or asks when their next post goes out. For a single post use publish-video or schedule-social-posts.
---
# Content calendar and posting queue
The queue is a weekly grid of time slots per profile. Anything published with `addToQueue: true` takes the next free slot, so the user gets a steady rhythm without picking dates.
## 1. Read the current setup
Get the profile name from `list_users`, then call `get_queue_settings` with `profile_username` (always pass it). It returns `timezone`, `slots`, `days_of_week`, `max_posts_per_slot`.
Call `preview_queue` with the same `profile_username` to see what is lined up. For "when is my next post?" pass `nextSlot: true` and quote the local time.
Show it as a short weekly view, not JSON.
## 2. Choose times from real data
Do not invent "best times to post". Look at the user's own results with `get_analytics` (`profileUsername`) and `get_total_impressions`. Only fall back to generic advice (two slots a day, late morning and early evening, weekdays) when there is no history, and say so.
## 3. Change the schedule
`update_queue_settings` takes `profile_username`, `timezone` (IANA), `slots` (`{ hour, minute }` in local time, up to 24), `days_of_week` (0 = Monday … 6 = Sunday), `max_posts_per_slot`.
It replaces the whole configuration. Read the current settings, apply the change on top, describe the new grid in plain words (say the day names, not numbers), get a yes, then write. Changing slots moves posts already queued.
## 4. Fill the calendar
For a week or month of content: draft the posts with the user (themes, captions, which network), then publish each one with `addToQueue: true` through `publish-video` or `schedule-social-posts`. Space clips out instead of posting several to the same account at once. Finish with `preview_queue` so the user sees the full calendar.

name: instagram-auto-dm
description: Set up Instagram auto-DMs with Upload-Post - automatically send a direct message (with up to 3 link buttons) to everyone who comments a keyword on an Instagram post, to deliver a lead magnet, link, guide, or discount code. Also check, pause, resume, stop, or read the logs of running auto-DM monitors. Use when the user mentions comment-to-DM, auto DM, "comment GUIDE to get it", DM automation, or capturing leads from Instagram comments. Instagram only.
---
# Instagram auto-DM
An auto-DM monitor watches one Instagram post. When a comment matches a keyword, the commenter gets a private DM.
## 1. Collect the setup
- The Instagram post URL (`post_url`). The post must already be live.
- The profile (`profile_username`) from `list_users`.
- The trigger word(s) (`trigger_keywords`): specific words like `GUIDE` or `RECIPE`, not `yes` or `love`. Without keywords every commenter gets the DM.
- The DM text (`reply_message`): short, with the deliverable. Up to 3 link `buttons` (`{ title, url }`).
- Optional `monitoring_interval` in minutes (15 or more).
Suggest the caption tells people what to comment ("Comment GUIDE and I'll send it to you").
## 2. Start it
`manage_autodms` with `action: "start"` and the fields above. Read back the post, keyword, and message before starting.
## 3. Check and manage
- `action: "status"` lists monitors (`include_inactive` for stopped ones) and their counters.
- `action: "logs"` with `monitor_id` shows who triggered it and when.
- `pause`, `resume`, `stop`, `delete` with `monitor_id`. Do not start a second monitor on the same post; manage the existing one. Confirm before `stop` or `delete`.
- `list_dm_conversations` shows the profile's DM threads, including manual ones.
Report unique commenters, not just DMs sent.
## Expectations
Instagram only allows messages to people who interacted first (a comment counts), and it may drop a share of automated DMs, especially on new accounts. Tell the user to test with a second account by commenting the keyword.

--- name: publish-video description: Post or schedule a video to Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and other networks through Upload-Post, including a video file the user has on their computer or attached in the chat. Use when the user wants to upload, post, publish, share, cross-post, or schedule a video, Reel, Short, or TikTok. Do not use for editing or generating the video itself, or for photo or text-only posts (use schedule-social-posts). --- # Publish a video Most Upload-Post posts are videos, and most of them go to Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Get the video in, pick the accounts, write the captions, publish. ## 1. Pick the profile and accounts Call `list_users`. Each profile has a `username` and the social accounts connected to it. - One profile: use it without asking. - Several profiles: ask which one before publishing. - No profile or no connected accounts: follow `connect-accounts`, then come back. Default to every connected video network unless the user names specific ones. ## 2. Get the video in - **The user has the file** (on their computer, or attached in this chat): call `open_upload_studio` with `user`, `platforms`, `title`, and optionally `description`, `firstComment`, `instagramMediaType`. The user picks the file in the widget, it uploads directly, and the widget publishes it. Never pass a `/mnt/data` or sandbox path to `upload_video`; the server cannot read it. - **`open_upload_studio` is not available** (clients other than ChatGPT): if the client can make HTTP requests, stage the file with `create_media_upload`, PUT the bytes to `upload_url`, call `complete_media_upload`, and use the returned `media_url`. Otherwise ask for a public HTTPS link. - **The user gives a public link**: call `upload_video` with `videoPathOrUrl`. ## 3. Captions and options - `title` is the main caption. Per-network overrides go in `platformOptions`: `instagramTitle`, `tiktokTitle`, `youtubeTitle`, `linkedinTitle`, `xTitle`. Offer short, platform-native variants: a hook on TikTok, a searchable title on YouTube. - Instagram: `instagramMediaType` is `REELS` (default) or `STORIES`. - Facebook: needs a Page; call `get_facebook_pages` and pass `facebookPageId`. - TikTok: privacy goes in `tiktokPrivacyLevel`. Trending sounds and locations depend on the account's `capabilities` in `list_users`; find them with `tiktok_music_trending`, `tiktok_music_search`, `tiktok_location_search`. - YouTube: `youtubePrivacyStatus`, `youtubePlaylistId`, `youtubeTags`, `youtubeThumbnailUrl`. - `firstComment` posts a comment under the video right after publishing (hashtags, links). ## 4. Now or later - Now: omit `scheduledDate`. - At a time: `scheduledDate` in ISO 8601 plus `timezone` (IANA, e.g. `Europe/Madrid`). Confirm the local time back to the user. - Next free slot: `addToQueue: true` (see `content-calendar`). Reddit publishing is currently unavailable; say so if asked. ## 5. Confirm Uploads return a `request_id`. Poll `get_status` until it finishes, then report each network and its result. If one network failed, offer `retry_post` for that one instead of re-uploading everything.

name: reply-to-comments
description: Read, reply to, and moderate comments on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Bluesky posts, send Instagram DMs to commenters, and reply to Google Business Profile reviews through Upload-Post. Use when the user asks about comments, wants to answer or hide comments, clean up spam, engage with their audience, or respond to reviews. For automatic keyword-triggered DMs use instagram-auto-dm.
---
# Reply to comments and reviews
## 1. Find the post
Comment tools take `user`, `platform`, and the post as `postId` or `postUrl`. YouTube `postId` is the video id; LinkedIn is the post urn; TikTok needs `postId` (the video id), not a URL. If the user does not have it, `get_media` lists recent posts on the account and `get_history` lists what went out through Upload-Post.
## 2. Read and triage
`get_post_comments` (up to 50 per page, `after` to page; pass `commentId` to read replies). Do not paste the raw list. Group it: questions (answer first), buying signals ("price?", "link?"), praise, spam.
## 3. Reply
- Reply or top-level comment on any supported network: `create_comment` with `message` and exactly one of `commentId` (reply), `postId`, or `postUrl`. Instagram accepts replies only (`commentId`). TikTok always needs `postId`, plus `commentId` to reply in a thread.
- Public reply under an Instagram comment: `public_reply_to_comment`.
- Private DM to an Instagram commenter: `reply_to_comment` (only within Instagram's 7-day window; up to 3 link `buttons`).
Draft replies in the user's own voice and get approval before sending; they are public.
## 4. Moderate
- Reversible: `comment_action` (`hide`/`unhide`, `like`, `pin` on TikTok, `edit` on Facebook, `hold` on YouTube, `approve`/`ignore` on Threads, `enable_comments`/`disable_comments` on an Instagram post).
- Permanent: `delete_comment` (not on Threads; LinkedIn also needs `postId`). Show the exact comments first and confirm; never delete on a vague "clean up the spam".
## Google Business reviews
`get_google_business_locations` → `get_google_business_reviews` (keep each `review_name`) → `reply_to_google_business_review`. It creates or overwrites the owner reply, so check for an existing one. For low ratings, acknowledge the specific issue and get approval before sending.

--- name: schedule-social-posts description: Publish or schedule photos, carousels, text posts, link posts, and LinkedIn documents across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, TikTok, Google Business Profile, Telegram, Discord, Mastodon and WordPress through Upload-Post, with a different caption per network if wanted. Also list, edit, or cancel scheduled posts. Use when the user wants to post, cross-post, share, or schedule social media content, or asks what is scheduled. For videos use publish-video; for planning many posts over weeks use content-calendar. --- # Schedule social posts ## 1. Pick the profile and networks Call `list_users` for the profile `username` and its connected accounts. One profile: use it. Several: ask. None: follow `connect-accounts`. Some networks need a target first: - Facebook Page: `get_facebook_pages`, then `facebookPageId` in `platformOptions`. - LinkedIn company Page: `get_linkedin_pages`, then `linkedinPageId`. - Pinterest board: `get_pinterest_boards`. - Google Business location: `get_google_business_locations`, then `googleBusinessLocationId` in `platformOptions`. ## 2. Pick the tool - Photo or carousel: `upload_photos` with `photosPathsOrUrls` (one URL for a single image, several for a carousel), plus `altText` if the user gives it. - Text or link post: `upload_text`; the text goes in `title`, a link preview in `linkUrl` (LinkedIn, Bluesky, Facebook). - PDF or slide deck: `upload_document` (LinkedIn only) with `documentPathOrUrl` and `title`. Images must be public HTTPS URLs. If the user only has the image in this chat or on their computer, explain that, and ask for a link or suggest uploading it at https://app.upload-post.com. ## 3. Captions Write one caption, then offer native variants: short on X, professional on LinkedIn, hashtags on Instagram. Per-network text goes in `platformOptions` (`instagramTitle`, `linkedinTitle`, `xTitle`, …). `firstComment` posts a comment right after publishing. ## 4. Timing - Now: no `scheduledDate`. - Exact time: `scheduledDate` (ISO 8601) plus `timezone` (IANA). Read the local time back. - Next queue slot: `addToQueue: true`. ## 5. Confirm and manage Report each network with its scheduled time or status (`get_status` on the `request_id`). - "What's scheduled?" → `list_scheduled`. - Change the time or text → `edit_scheduled` with `jobId` (`scheduledDate`, `timezone`, `title`, `caption`, or `platformContent` for one network). Do not create a duplicate. - Cancel → `cancel_scheduled` with `jobId`. Confirm first; it cannot be undone. - Published already → `get_history`. A failed network → `retry_post`. Take a post down → `unpublish_post` (Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Threads only; confirm first). Reddit publishing is currently unavailable.

--- name: social-media-analytics description: Analyze social media performance with Upload-Post analytics - views, impressions, reach, followers, engagement, audience, and per-post results on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn Pages, Threads, Pinterest and more, then recommend what to post next. Use when the user asks how their posts or accounts are doing, for a social media report, top or worst posts, growth, or TikTok hashtag ideas. Do not use for website or ad-campaign analytics. --- # Social media analytics Numbers are easy; the value is the interpretation. Do both. ## 1. Scope Which networks, which profile, which period, which metric. If the user is vague: all connected accounts, last 28 days, engagement. ## 2. Fetch - `get_analytics` with `profileUsername` (and `platforms`, `pageId` for a Facebook Page, `pageUrn` for a LinkedIn Page; LinkedIn analytics cover company Pages only). Instagram includes follower demographics. - `get_total_impressions` with `profileUsername` and a `period` (`last_week`, `last_month`, `last_3months`, …) for the headline number. - `get_history` for what was published and when (posting cadence). - Per post: `get_post_analytics` with `requestId` (live, limited to 100 calls per 5 minutes). When scanning many posts, prefer `get_cached_post_analytics` (`user`, `platform`). - TikTok audience and trends: `get_audience` and `get_suggestions` (`type` hashtags or keywords) with `platform: "tiktok"`; they depend on the account's `capabilities` in `list_users`. - Comments on the best and worst post (`get_post_comments`) often explain the numbers better than another metric. ## 3. Report Lead with the headline number and the change against the previous period. Then three bullets: - What worked: the top post and why (format, length, hook). - What underperformed, with a likely reason. - One concrete next move, specific to their data. Compare engagement rate across networks rather than raw views; TikTok and Shorts inflate views next to Instagram. ## 4. Act If the user agrees, hand off: `video-to-shorts` for more clips, `publish-video` or `schedule-social-posts` for ready content, `content-calendar` if the issue is cadence, `reply-to-comments` if the win is in replies.
Referenced files: 1 — file references are metadata, not package contents.
--- name: video-to-shorts description: Repurpose a long video (podcast, interview, webinar, livestream, YouTube video) into short vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts - pick the best moments, cut and reframe them with Upload-Post's FFmpeg jobs, then schedule them across accounts. Use when the user wants to repurpose content, make shorts or clips from a long video, or turn one video into many posts. Do not use for editing that needs a full video editor (effects, multi-track timelines). --- # Video to shorts Pipeline: find moments → cut with FFmpeg → reframe to 9:16 → schedule. ## 1. Source and moments The source must be a public HTTPS URL for the FFmpeg tools. If the user only has the file locally, ask them to share a link (cloud storage with a direct download link works). Upload-Post does not transcribe. Pick moments from what the user gives you: a transcript with timestamps, YouTube chapters, or timestamps they choose. Good clips: a hook in the first 3 seconds, self-contained, 20–60 seconds. Propose 3–8 candidates with timestamps and a one-line summary; let the user approve before cutting. ## 2. Budget Call `get_ffmpeg_consumption` first. Free plans have a limited number of FFmpeg jobs. If a job fails on quota, show the upgrade path instead of retrying. ## 3. Cut and reframe For each approved clip call `submit_ffmpeg_job` with `input_url` and a `full_command` starting with `ffmpeg`, plus `output_filename` (e.g. `clip-1.mp4`). Do the trim and the 9:16 crop/scale in one command when the source is horizontal. Shell metacharacters are rejected. Poll `get_ffmpeg_job` with the `job_id` until done, then `download_ffmpeg_result` for the clip URL. ## 4. Schedule Publish each clip with `upload_video` (`videoPathOrUrl` = the clip URL) to `tiktok`, `instagram` (`instagramMediaType: REELS`) and `youtube`, with its own hook as the caption. Spread them out with `addToQueue: true` (see `content-calendar`) instead of posting them all at once.
