Vergo is practice management software and a legal research library for Icelandic law firms (Vergo Law) and professional services firms (Vergo Core). This app lets ChatGPT research Icelandic law and work with your Vergo data. It acts as you, with your own permissions in Vergo. Icelandic and European legal research - Search Vergo's collection of Icelandic legal sources: the current law collection, regulations, judgments of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and district courts, rulings of appeals committees and authorities such as the Data Protection Authority, and judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). - Search by keyword, by meaning, or by the laws a source cites, down to article and paragraph. - See the legal basis of every result: each judgment and ruling lists the laws and articles it cites, written as lawyers cite them. - Trace citations: find every judgment and ruling citing a law, an article, a lettered article, a paragraph or a temporary provision, newest first and filtered by court, type and date. See how often each law is cited and which of its articles are cited most. - Read full texts, save sources to projects, and cite them with links back to Vergo. Practice management - Projects: find projects by name, number, client, status or inactivity, and see their clients, opposing parties, payor, team, comments and SharePoint folder. - Time and expenses: review worklogs, log hours, fixed fees and expenses on projects, and go through Vergo's suggested time entries from Outlook and your work in Vergo. Rates, discounts and VAT come from the project. With a separate permission, see the whole team's worklogs and unbilled work. - Tasks: list and filter tasks and subtasks, create tasks, and change due dates, assignees or status. - Contacts: look up clients, opposing parties and other contacts. Control and security - Sign in with your Vergo account (OAuth). Your password is never shared with ChatGPT. - AI connections are off until a company administrator turns them on and chooses what connections may do in each area: read, log, or create and edit. - When you connect, you choose what ChatGPT may do. Actions that change data are marked, and ChatGPT confirms them with you. - If you work in several Vergo companies, one connection can cover the ones you choose. Each request runs in your default company unless you name another, and you can change the default. Administrators of each company see the connection and can disconnect it. Requirements A Vergo account in a company where an administrator has turned on AI connections (Settings > Connections > Company connections). Works in Icelandic and English.
