Website Auditor

Kevin Mackenzie Armstrong v1.0.16

Publisher description

From the marketplace listing

See whether AI assistants actually recommend your business. Website Auditor puts the questions a real customer would ask to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, reports which businesses get named in the answers, and adds SEO, security-header, broken-link and performance checks — an overall AI-visibility score (0–100), a per-engine breakdown, competitor comparisons, and ongoing weekly monitoring. The built-in sample report needs no API key and no setup, so you can see exactly what a full report looks like before connecting an account.

---
name: audit-my-site
description: Run a full Website Auditor audit — AI visibility plus SEO, security headers, broken links and performance in one report. Use when the user asks to audit their site, check its SEO, security or performance, or is preparing to launch or relaunch a site they own.
---

1. If the user has not named the website, ask which domain to audit.
2. Call `run_audit` for that domain.
3. Summarise the result by category — AI visibility, SEO, security headers,
broken links and performance — then list the three fixes that would matter
   most, highest impact first.

If no API key is configured, call `get_sample_audit` instead so the user sees
exactly what the real audit returns, and tell them what it would take to run it
for real.

name: build-growth-plan
description: Turn the user's latest Website Auditor audit into a written growth plan, grounded in the pages AI assistants actually cite. Use when the user asks what to do about their AI visibility, wants their audit turned into a plan, or asks for a growth, GTM or marketing plan for their site.
---

Only build a plan for a site the user owns or represents — never to prepare
marketing advice about someone else's business.

1. If the user has not named the website, ask which domain to plan for
   (e.g. example.com).
2. Call `get_gtm_plan` for that domain. If it reports no audit on record, call
`run_audit` for the domain first, then call `get_gtm_plan` again.
3. Report the phases and the actions in each, in plain language.
4. Say which of the cited sources are the user's own and which belong to a
competitor. Competitor pages explain the gap; they are never where the user
   should publish.

If the user mentions a budget, a team size or a deadline, pass it as
`constraints`. If they want a different emphasis — local directories, content,
a launch — pass it as `focus`. To refine a plan rather than start over, pass the
earlier plan's markdown as `prior_plan`.

If no API key is configured, call `get_sample_audit` instead so the user sees
exactly what the real check returns, and tell them what it would take to run it
for real.

name: check-ai-visibility
description: Check whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity recommend the user's business — and who they name instead. Use when the user asks about their AI visibility, whether AI assistants recommend them, or why customers coming from AI assistants cannot find them.
---

Only run this for a site the user owns or represents — never to get consumer
recommendations about someone else's business.

1. If the user has not named the website, ask which domain to check
   (e.g. example.com).
2. Call `get_ai_visibility` for that domain.
3. Report in plain language: the overall score (0-100), which of ChatGPT,
Claude, Gemini and Perplexity name the business and which do not, and which
competitor is being named in its place.

If no API key is configured, call `get_sample_audit` instead so the user sees
exactly what the real check returns, and tell them what it would take to run it
for real.

---
name: compare-to-competitor
description: Compare the user's website against a named competitor in AI assistant answers — where the rival gets named and they don't. Use when the user asks how they stack up against a competitor or why AI assistants recommend a rival instead of them.
---

1. Make sure you have both domains — the user's own website and the
competitor's. Ask for whichever is missing.
2. Call `compare_competitors` with the user's site as the domain and the rival
   as the competitor.
3. Report where the competitor gets named and the user's site does not, and
what is different about how each one is described.

If no API key is configured, call `get_sample_audit` instead so the user sees
exactly what the real check returns, and tell them what it would take to run it
for real.

name: see-sample-report
description: Show a complete sample Website Auditor report for example.com — no API key, no setup. Use when the user wants to see what a website audit or AI-visibility report looks like before setting anything up, or when another Website Auditor skill runs without an API key configured.
---

Call the `get_sample_audit` tool from the website-auditor MCP server. It needs
no API key, no setup and no network, and returns a complete report for
example.com in the exact shape a real audit returns.

Walk the user through the sections:

- what the AI-visibility score measures
- what the per-assistant breakdown (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) is
  telling them
- what the SEO, security and performance checks cover

Then tell them what they would need in order to run this on their own site.
