Description

From the marketplace listing

Website Design helps your agent design and build websites and landing pages that look like a real product instead of generic AI output. It picks a design direction from how real websites in the same space look, writes it down as a DESIGN.md (colors with their roles, typography, spacing and components), builds pages that work on phone and desktop, and reviews pages you already have. It searches UXKIN's library of 15k+ design systems taken from real websites, each with a DESIGN.md. All tools are read-only. Sign in with your UXKIN account.

# Landing page · by UXKIN

*Real UI, not AI slop.*

Visitors decide in a few seconds whether a page is worth reading, and
they can tell when it was generated: vague headlines, invented
testimonials, the same three cards. This skill builds pages that say
something specific, follow one design system, and work on a phone.

It works on its own, with no account, token or server.

## Connect UXKIN (optional)

UXKIN (https://uxkin.com) is a library of 15k+ design systems taken
from real websites, each with a DESIGN.md, plus real app screens and
user journeys. Connected, it lets you see how real sites in the same
space present themselves. To connect it, the person:

1. adds the MCP server `https://uxkin.com/mcp` (name: `uxkin`) in
this app's MCP settings, if it isn't there already,
2. signs in with their UXKIN account when the app asks (searches need
   a UXKIN plan),
3. or follows the guide for their app: https://uxkin.com/ui-design-mcp

Only set this up when the person asks for it; never add servers or
accounts on your own.

## 1. Start from the design and the facts

- Read `DESIGN.md` and the project's tokens and components, and use
them. If there is no design system yet, make one first with the
  `web-design-system` skill.
- Collect the facts the page needs: what the product does, for whom,
the one action the page should lead to, prices, real customer
quotes, real numbers, logos the person may show. Ask for what's
missing. Never invent testimonials, customer logos, user counts,
ratings or awards; leave a clearly marked placeholder instead.

If the UXKIN tools are connected and the direction is open, call
`find_ui_materials` for the industry and feeling ("dev tools landing
page", "calm health app") to see how real sites in the space look
before you lay out sections.

## 2. Plan the sections

Write the page as a list of sections before coding, each with its one
job. A section that has no job goes. A common order for a product page:

1. **Hero**: a headline that says what it is and for whom in plain
words, one line of support, one primary action (a secondary one at
most), and a real visual: the product, not an abstract blob.
2. **Proof** close to the top, only if it's real: customer logos,
quotes or numbers the person gave you.
3. **How it works or what you get**, specific to this product: show
it with screenshots, short demos or examples rather than icons in
   cards.
4. **Pricing** if it applies: plan names, prices and periods, what's
   included, and the main differences.
5. **Answers to the real objections** (FAQ), then a closing call to
action that repeats the primary action.

Show the plan to the person when the page is new or the brief is open.

## 3. Write the copy

- Specific beats impressive: "Find a flat in Berlin without agents"
  beats "Revolutionize your housing journey".
- Short sentences, active voice, the reader's words. One idea per
  heading.
- Buttons say what happens: "Start free trial", "Book a demo", not
  "Submit" or "Learn more" everywhere.
- No filler like "seamless", "cutting-edge", "unlock", "elevate" or
  "game-changer".

## 4. Build

- Use the design system's tokens and components; no raw colors or
  one-off sizes.
- Mobile first: one column on phones, readable without zooming, tap
targets at least 44px, no horizontal scrolling. Navigation collapses
  sensibly.
- Vary the layout so it reads as designed: not every section centered,
not every block a card. Leave generous whitespace between

*Real UI, not AI slop.*

Most generic-looking websites have no design decisions behind them: a
default font, a purple gradient, every card the same. This skill makes
those decisions on purpose, from how real websites in the same space
look, and writes them into a DESIGN.md that every page then follows.

It works on its own, with no account, token or server.

## Connect UXKIN (optional)

UXKIN (https://uxkin.com) is a library of 15k+ design systems taken
from real websites, each with a DESIGN.md, plus real app screens and
user journeys. Connected, it lets you see how real sites in the same
space use color, type and components.

## 1. Start from what exists

Read the project first: existing styles, Tailwind config or CSS
variables, fonts, logo and brand colors, and any pages already built.
If the brand already has colors or a font, keep them and build around
them. Ask about anything that isn't there and matters: who the site is
for, the feeling it should give (calm, technical, playful, premium),
and sites the person likes.

## 2. Look at real sites

If the UXKIN tools are connected:

1. Call `find_ui_materials` with the industry and the feeling in plain
words: "dark fintech", "minimal dev tools", "warm e-commerce",
"serif editorial". Combine industry, theme, brand color and font.
2. Try a second wording when results are thin ("developer tools" and
   "API platform").
3. Compare 3 to 5 results: how many colors they really use and for
what, the type pairing and scale, the radius and shadows, and the
components they rely on. The top result's full DESIGN.md shows how a
   complete one is written.
4. To study one named site, search for its name.

Without the tools, rely on the project, the person's references and the
rules below, and say clearly that the direction isn't based on real
examples. Don't describe sites you haven't seen.

## 3. Decide

Make each decision once, with a reason:

- **Color**: a neutral scale for text, backgrounds and borders; one
primary color for actions and links; at most one accent; success,
warning and error colors. Give every color a role ("primary: buttons
and links"), and a dark-mode value if the site has dark mode. Text
contrast at least 4.5:1, large text 3:1.
- **Typography**: one or two families (a display face for headings is
optional), a type scale of 6 to 8 sizes with line heights, and the
weights in use. Body text 16px or larger, lines 60 to 75 characters.
- **Spacing**: one scale (4 or 8 based) used everywhere, plus the
section spacing and the content width.
- **Shape and depth**: one radius scale and one or two shadows, or none.
- **Components**: buttons (primary, secondary, quiet) with hover, focus
and disabled states; links; inputs; cards; navigation; footer.
- **Imagery and icons**: one icon set and how photos, screenshots or
  illustrations are used.

Avoid the defaults that make sites look generated: purple-to-blue
gradients by habit, glassmorphism everywhere, every section centered,
three identical feature cards, emoji as icons, and gradient text on

# Web review · by UXKIN

*Real UI, not AI slop.*

A review that helps names the few problems that cost the most visitors,
says where they are and how to fix them in the site's own style. This
skill looks at the rendered page, not only the code, and changes
nothing until the person picks what to fix.

It works on its own, with no account, token or server.

## Connect UXKIN (optional)

UXKIN (https://uxkin.com) is a library of 15k+ design systems taken
from real websites, each with a DESIGN.md, plus real app screens and
user journeys. Connected, it lets you compare a page with how real
sites in the same space handle it.

## 1. See it for real

Open the page in a browser (a dev server, a preview, or screenshots the
person shares). If nothing can be rendered, say so and review the code,
making clear that the result wasn't seen. Look at it on a phone (375px),
a tablet (768px) and a desktop (1440px), in light and dark mode if both
exist, and with the keyboard only.

## 2. Check

Go through the page with this list and note every problem with where it
is:

| Area | Look for |
|---|---|
| Message | The hero doesn't say what it is and for whom; more than one main action; the action is below the fold on a phone |
| Generic look | Default gradients, glassmorphism everywhere, everything centered, identical feature cards, emoji icons, stock illustrations that say nothing |
| Consistency | Colors, fonts, spacing or radius that don't follow DESIGN.md or the tokens; one-off styles; several button styles for the same job |
| Copy | Vague claims, filler words, invented testimonials or numbers, buttons that don't say what happens |
| Layout | Horizontal scrolling, cramped or uneven spacing, lines over 75 characters, broken navigation on phones |
| Accessibility | Contrast under 4.5:1, missing alt text, headings out of order, no visible focus, unlabeled form fields, meaning shown by color alone |
| Speed | Huge images, layout shifts while loading, text hidden while fonts load, heavy scripts for small effects |
| States | Forms without error and success states, empty or broken sections, dead links |
| Basics | Missing page title, meta description, social preview image or favicon |

If the UXKIN tools are connected and a finding is a judgment call, call
`find_ui_materials` to see how real sites in the same space handle it,
and say which ones you looked at.

## 3. Report

Order the findings by how much they cost visitors:

1. **Must fix**: blocks people, breaks accessibility, or hides what the
   site is.
2. **Should fix**: makes the site look generic, inconsistent or
   unfinished.
3. **Nice to have**: polish.

For each one give where it is, why it matters, and a concrete fix that
fits the site's existing design. Keep real problems apart from taste.
Then ask which ones to fix, and fix those with the `landing-page` skill
(or the `web-design-system` skill when the problem is the system itself).

Never describe something as checked from reading the code alone.
