Zenit Solar

CFE bills & solar savings (MX)
From the developer
Declared capabilities
- Look up current CFE electricity rates by tariff and region
- Estimate a CFE bill month by month from monthly kWh
- Size a solar system (panels and kW) for a given consumption
Cost & access
This plugin sells nothing and processes no payments. All five tools are free, read-only calculators; results link only to informational pages on zenitmaster.com, never to sign-up, pricing or checkout.
Declared limitations
- Out of scope: a utility outside Mexico. The plugin only covers CFE tariffs in Mexico, so no Zenit Solar tool should be called and a CFE estimate must never be presented as an Iberdrola bill. Expected: ChatGPT answers without the plugin, for example by explaining that the amount depends on the Iberdrola contract and asking for its tariff and contracted power. Prompt (Spanish): «How much will I pay for electricity this month in Madrid with Iberdrola if I used 300 kWh?»
- Cannot access a real CFE account. The plugin has no access to CFE accounts, service numbers or actual bills; it only estimates from a consumption the user provides. Expected: ChatGPT explains this and offers an estimate if the user shares the monthly kWh and tariff from the bill, without calling a tool with an invented consumption. Prompt (Spanish): «Look up my CFE bill with service number 123456789012 and tell me how much I owe this month.»
- No commerce or payments. The plugin sells nothing, hires no installers and processes no payments. Expected: ChatGPT declines the purchase and payment request (it may offer a savings estimate instead); no tool is expected to run. Prompt (Spanish): «Hire the installation of 7 panels for my house and charge the MXN 120,000 to my card.»
Onboarding example

Description
From the marketplace listing
Zenit Solar answers everyday questions about electricity costs and solar power in Mexico with the same calculation engine Zenit's solar installers use for their quotes. No account or sign-up is needed, and results come back in Spanish, in Mexican pesos. What it can do • Current CFE rates for any tariff: residential 1, 1A–1F and DAC (summer and non-summer consumption blocks, DAC limit), low-tension PDBT, GDBT, RABT and APBT, medium-tension GDMTO, GDMTH, RAMT and APMT (including GDMTH base, intermediate and peak periods) and the 9-CU/9-N agricultural tariffs, as published by CFE, before VAT, with the publication month. • Estimated CFE bill, month by month, for a given monthly consumption (kWh), including the summer/non-summer difference and a warning when consumption exceeds the DAC limit. • Solar system sizing: how many panels and how many kW cover your consumption, using the solar yield of your region (NREL PVWatts data by CFE tariff region). • 25-year savings projection with regional CFE rates and, when you give the system price, payback, IRR and NPV. • Battery (BESS) sizing for peak shaving in businesses on GDMTH/GDMTO tariffs, verified with an hourly dispatch simulation. How to use it Tell it your consumption (monthly or bimonthly kWh, as printed on your CFE bill), your tariff (also on the bill) and your state. For example: «Consumo 300 kWh al mes en tarifa 1C en Mérida, ¿cuánto pagaría de luz?» Limitations All figures are estimates based on CFE's published tables and typical solar yields; they are not a quotation, an official bill or financial advice. The plugin cannot read your CFE account or your actual bill, covers only CFE tariffs in Mexico, and applies VAT at the general 16 % rate. CFE updates its rates monthly; the plugin refreshes them when they are published.

--- name: estimar-ahorro-solar description: Take a home or business in Mexico from its CFE bill (kWh, tariff, state) to a solar system size and a 25-year savings estimate with the Zenit Solar tools. Use it when someone asks whether solar panels are worth it for them, how many panels they need or how fast a system pays for itself. --- Use this skill when a user in Mexico wants to know whether solar panels are worth it, how many panels they need, or how long a system takes to pay for itself. Every figure comes from the Zenit Solar tools; never estimate by hand. ## Inputs to gather (ask only for what is missing) 1. **Consumption in kWh.** A CFE residential bill is usually bimonthly and a commercial bill monthly. Pass a bimonthly figure as `bimonthlyKwh` when sizing, and half of it as `monthlyKwh` when estimating a bill. If the user only knows the amount in pesos, ask for the kWh printed on the bill; do not guess it. 2. **The CFE tariff** printed on the bill (1, 1A–1F, DAC, PDBT, GDBT, GDMTO, GDMTH…). A residential user who does not know it can proceed with the default (tariff 1); say that the tariff was assumed. 3. **The state** where the service is located. It sets the tariff region, the summer season and the solar yield. If it is missing, the tools fall back to the Central region and report it in `region.fuente`; tell the user which region was assumed. ## Steps 1. `calculate_system_size` with the consumption and state: panels, installed kW and expected annual production. When the user only asked how many panels they need, stop here and offer the savings estimate as a next step. 2. When the user asked about savings, payback or whether solar is worth it: `estimate_solar_savings` with the same consumption, tariff and state gives the annual and 25-year savings. Include `systemPriceMxn` only when the user gave a price; the tool then also returns payback, IRR and NPV. 3. Optionally `calculate_cfe_bill` to show what the current bill looks like month by month, including the summer season. ## Output - Report the number of panels, installed kW, annual production, first-year savings and 25-year savings in Mexican pesos, plus payback, IRR and NPV when a price was given. - Label everything as an estimate based on CFE's published tables and typical solar yields, not a quotation. - Repeat the assumptions the tools made: region, tariff, the 4 % annual rate escalation and VAT at the general 16 % rate. ## Do not - Do not invent consumption, prices or production figures; use only tool results. - Do not recommend specific installers or products, and do not quote prices the user did not provide. - Do not use these tools for utilities outside Mexico; explain that they only cover CFE tariffs.
