A barcode generator for business operations: product labels, shelf and warehouse labels, cartons and books. Zovo Barcode Maker draws EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, GS1-128, Code 39, ITF-14, ISBN and ISSN barcodes following the GS1 and ISO symbol specifications and gives you a vector SVG and a PNG for printing. Check digits are computed when you leave them off and verified when you include them. If a check digit is wrong, you get the arithmetic step by step and the corrected number, so you can catch a typo before you print. Validate a UPC, EAN, GTIN-14, SSCC, ISBN or ISSN number on its own, convert ISBN-10 to ISBN-13, expand UPC-E to UPC-A, or compress a UPC-A to UPC-E. Code 128 switches between code sets A, B and C automatically to keep the symbol short. GS1-128 accepts Application Identifiers in parentheses, for example (01) GTIN, (17) expiry date, (10) batch/lot and (21) serial, validates their lengths, dates and check digits, and inserts FNC1 separators where GS1 requires them. Each barcode comes with its calculated print size and GS1 size guidance: magnification (EAN-13 at 100% is 37.29 x 25.93 mm, allowed range 80% to 200%), X-dimension, bar height and quiet zones. ITF-14 carton codes include bearer bars. Book barcodes show the ISBN above the bars and can carry a 2- or 5-digit add-on. Set your label printer resolution (203, 300 or 600 dpi) and bar widths snap to whole printer dots for cleaner bar edges. The SVG uses the calculated module widths and outlined text, so it needs no fonts. The PNG embeds its print resolution, so it prints at the stated size in apps that honour the embedded resolution. In the preview you can change the size, printer resolution and human-readable text, then download. Important: this tool draws barcodes for numbers you already have. It does not issue GS1 company prefixes or GTINs. Real retail UPC and EAN numbers must be licensed from GS1 through your national GS1 member organisation; ISBNs come from your national ISBN agency. Limitations: one barcode per request; no 2D codes (QR, Data Matrix); it cannot scan barcode images or look up products or their owners.

Pick the symbology: retail products `ean13` (12-13 digits) or `upca` (11-12 digits, US/Canada); small packs `ean8` or `upce`; SKUs, bin and shelf labels `code128` (or `code39` if the user's system needs it); cartons `itf14`; logistics labels with AIs `gs1_128`; books `isbn`; magazines `issn`. 2. Pass the number as given. Leave the check digit off to have it computed; if the user gives one, it is verified. A wrong check digit returns an explanation: show it and ask before using `fix_check_digit: true`. 3. GS1-128 data uses parentheses: `(01)` 14-digit GTIN, `(17)` expiry as YYMMDD (convert 2026-12-31 to 261231), `(10)` lot, `(21)` serial, `(00)` SSCC. 4. Size: `magnification_percent` for EAN/UPC/ISBN (GS1 retail range 80-200), `x_dimension_mm` for other types, `bar_height_mm` only if asked. If the user mentions a label printer resolution, pass `printer_dpi` (203, 300, 600). 5. After the tool returns, give the encoded number, the check digit result, the print size in mm, any warnings verbatim, and both download links. Always make clear that this tool does not issue GS1 numbers: real retail UPC/EAN numbers must be licensed from GS1 (ISBNs from the national ISBN agency). Do not use this skill for QR codes, scanning or reading barcode images, or looking up products, prices or owners of a barcode.
