Description
From the marketplace listing
Use ip lookup to see who owns this ip: Zovo IP Lookup reads the five regional internet registries through RDAP for the network handle and name, the holding organisation, the country, the allocation range and its registration and last-changed dates, and the published abuse contact, then adds the reverse dns lookup name from DNS-over-HTTPS. Give one to twenty IPv4 or IPv6 addresses or CIDR ranges in one call. Each address gets a card with the registry record, the range, the dates, the abuse email and the PTR name, plus a CSV download for the batch. Copy buttons take the CIDR or the abuse email in one tap. Addresses that are not public are classified locally and are not sent to a registry: private (10/8, 172.16/12, 192.168/16, fc00::/7), loopback, link-local, the shared 100.64/10 range used by carrier-grade NAT, multicast, documentation ranges (192.0.2.0/24, 198.51.100.0/24, 203.0.113.0/24, 2001:db8::/32) and other reserved space, each with its RFC number. Limits: registry data shows the network holder and its country, not the location or identity of a person; some registries publish no abuse email; reverse DNS exists only when the network sets it; the country in the record is the registry country of the network holder, not the user's location.

Declared limitations
- A street address or precise location is not part of registry data. Expected: the tool is not called; the assistant explains that the registry gives the network holder and its country, not a street address or a person's location.
- Identifying a person from an address is out of scope. Expected: the tool is not called; the assistant explains that the plugin reads network registration records only and cannot name or find a person.
- The plugin reads data; it does not act on an address. Expected: the tool is not called; the assistant explains that it can look up the owner but cannot block or scan an address.

--- name: ip-lookup description: Look up who owns an IP address from the regional internet registries (network, organisation, country, allocation range and dates, abuse contact) and get the reverse DNS name, with the lookup_ip and reverse_dns_lookup tools. --- # Zovo IP Lookup Use `lookup_ip` when the user asks who owns an IP address, whois details, the abuse contact for an address, an IP range, or "which ISP is this IP". 1. Pass every address the user gives in one `ips` string, separated by commas, spaces or new lines (up to 20). Accept IPv4, IPv6 and CIDR ranges. Call the tool straight away when the request already contains addresses. 2. After the result, give the registry, the network name, the holding organisation, the country, the allocation range and dates, the abuse contact (if published) and the reverse DNS name. Include both registry and PTR "Source" lines with their URLs and retrieval times. Do not present the registry country as the location of a person. 3. Mention the CSV download when the user asked about a range or several addresses. Use `reverse_dns_lookup` when the user only wants the PTR (reverse DNS) name for one or more addresses and does not need the registry record. Private, loopback, link-local, shared (100.64/10), multicast, documentation and reserved addresses are classified locally and are not sent to a registry or to the DNS resolver. Do not use these tools for a precise location or a street address, to identify a person, or to scan, block or otherwise act on an address.
