Description

From the marketplace listing

Create an org chart from a team list or a spreadsheet file and download it as an SVG or a print-ready PDF. Zovo Org Chart Maker reads the people and who they report to - typed or pasted in the chat, or a .xlsx/CSV file with an id/name/title/manager/department header - and lays them out as a clean reporting structure diagram. The layout is a tidy tree: no two boxes overlap, each manager sits centred over their reports, and generations line up in levels. A manager with more than 8 direct reports stacks them in a compact column so the chart stays readable. Choose a top-down or a left-to-right direction, colour the boxes by department or by level (or leave them plain), and pick the landscape PDF page: Letter, A4, A3 or Tabloid 11x17 in. The result reports the counts (people, levels, departments), a short preview, and plain warnings: a manager who is not in the list (those people group under a virtual "Unassigned" box), several top people (they share a virtual "Organisation" top), and a reporting cycle, which is an error named with the people in it. Good for a company hierarchy chart, a team structure chart, an onboarding handout, a board slide, or a printout for a wall: the SVG is a vector file for design tools and the PDF is fitted to the chosen page. Limitations: name and title cards only (photographs are not supported); up to 500 people per chart; the layout is automatic, so boxes cannot be dragged or repositioned by hand; only CSV and XLSX files are read, not PDF or image files. PDF fonts support Latin, Greek and Cyrillic; text in unsupported scripts or emoji returns an input error.

# Zovo Org Chart Maker

Use `make_org_chart` whenever the user asks for an org chart, an organizational chart, a company hierarchy chart or a team structure chart.

1. Turn the request into people records with `name`, optional `title`, `department`, and `manager`. A record with no `manager` is a top person.
2. Match each `manager` to a person by exact `id` or by case-insensitive `name`. Leave `manager` blank for the person at the top.
3. If the user's list already has the people and who reports to whom, call the tool right away. Ask one short question only when the people are missing.
4. Options: `orientation` (`top_down` default or `left_right`), `color_by` (`department` default, `level`, or `none`), and `paper` (`letter` default, `a4`, `a3`, `tabloid`) for the landscape PDF.
5. If the user attaches a CSV or XLSX file, pass it as `file`; the header row is matched case-insensitively for id/name/title/manager/department. Do not retype the file's rows yourself.
6. After the tool returns, share the counts (people, levels, departments), every warning verbatim, and the SVG and PDF download links. Mention that the links expire in about one hour.

Do not use this skill for family trees, flowcharts, seating charts, or to read a photo or PDF of an existing chart.
