Convert a PDF table to Excel and download real XLSX files that open in Excel: Zovo PDF to Spreadsheet reads the tables in a text-based PDF (bank statements, invoices, product lists, reports) and returns one Excel sheet per table plus a ZIP of CSV files. Numbers within spreadsheet precision stay numeric; higher-precision values remain text with a warning. Dates become spreadsheet dates in a US format, and each table comes with detected column types and a preview of the first rows so you can check the result before you use it. The plugin finds a table by its rows and aligned columns (3 rows or more, 2 columns or more), joins the last table on a page to the first on the next page only when their column counts and source headers match after whitespace collapse. Rows outside detected tables are retained in an Other text sheet (Page, Line, Text) and other-text.csv. It reads numbers written as 1,234.56 or 1.234,56, negatives in parentheses or with a trailing minus, currency symbols and percent, and dates written as ISO (2026-03-05), MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY. A page with no text layer is reported as a scanned page instead of guessed. The widget shows a preview of each table with a table selector and a per-column type switch (text, number or date) that changes the export, plus Download Excel and Download CSV files buttons. Generated files are kept for about one hour, then deleted. Limitations: text-based PDFs only (scanned pages are not read; run OCR first), complex layouts with merged cells may need a manual check, and a file is limited to 15 MB and 50 pages. A text cell over 32,767 characters must be split in the source before export. It does not edit the PDF and does not read image-only pages.

# Zovo PDF to Spreadsheet
Use `convert_pdf_tables` when a text-based PDF is attached and the user wants its tables as Excel or CSV. Use `list_pdf_tables` when the user only wants to see which tables the PDF holds before exporting.
1. Call the tool with the attached `file`. Add `pages` (e.g. `1-3,5`) only when the user names pages.
2. Leave `merge_tables` at its default (`true`) so a last table that continues as the first table on the next page with the same source header and column count is joined and the repeated header is removed. Pass `merge_tables: false` only when the user wants each page kept apart.
3. If the detected column type is wrong, call `convert_pdf_tables` again with `column_types`, e.g. `[{"table":1,"column":2,"type":"text"}]`. The widget's per-column type switches send this for you.
4. Report the number of tables, each table's row and column count with its column types, any warning (scanned page, merged or wrapped row, truncated pages), and the two download links. Say the links expire in about one hour.
5. Text PDFs only. Scanned or image-only pages are reported as "no text layer" and are not read (no OCR). The limit is 15 MB and 50 pages.
Do not use this skill to edit a PDF, to read an image-only PDF without OCR, or to make QR codes or barcodes.
High-precision numeric values remain original text with a warning. If a text cell exceeds 32,767 characters, split it into shorter source rows and upload again; conversion returns an actionable error without partial downloads.
Referenced files: 1 — file references are metadata, not package contents.
