This file is yours: plugin updates never touch it. You can re-run `/customize` anytime to update settings as your strategy evolves.\n\n## Step 1: Detect Current State\n\nTry to read `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/motion-creative.config.md`.\n\n- **If the file exists:** This is a re-configuration. Read it, show the user their current settings, and ask what they want to update. Only touch those sections.\n- **If the file does not exist:** This is a first-time setup. Walk through all sections.\n\n## Step 2: Gather Context from Motion\n\nPull real data from the Motion workspace to pre-fill as much as possible:\n\n```\nRun in parallel:\n1. get_auth_context → workspace ID and name\n2. get_workspace_brand → brand positioning, voice\n3. get_workspace_competitors → competitor list\n4. get_glossary_values → available taxonomy categories\n```\n\nUse these results to pre-fill settings rather than asking the user for information Motion already has.\n\n## Step 3: Walk Through Configuration Sections\n\nWork through each section, using Motion data where available and asking only when needed.\n\n### 3a. Workspace & KPIs\n\nIf `get_auth_context` returned workspace info, apply it directly. Then ask:\n\n**Primary KPI:** \"What's the one metric your team optimizes for above all else?\"\n- Options: ROAS, CPA, CPL, CPC, Purchases, Purchase Value\n- Default suggestion based on workspace type if available\n\n**Secondary KPIs:** \"What 2-3 metrics do you watch alongside [primary KPI]?\"\n- Options from: HOOK, CPA, ROAS, SPEND, SCALING, CTR_ALL, CPC, PURCHASES\n\n### 3b. Competitors\n\nIf `get_workspace_competitors` returned results, show them: \"Motion already tracks these competitors: [list]. Want to keep this list, or add/remove any?\"\n\nIf no competitors configured: \"Which competitor brands should we track? Use domains (e.g., competitor.com)\"\n\n### 3c. Brand Guidelines\n\nIf `get_workspace_brand` returned brand info, use it to pre-fill. Then ask the user to review and refine:\n\n**Brand Voice:** \"How should your ad copy sound? (e.g., casual and witty, authoritative, empathetic)\"\n\n**Brand Positioning:** \"In one sentence, what makes your brand different?\"\n\n**Creative Do's and Don'ts:** \"Any rules your creative team follows? Things you always or never do in ads?\"\n\n**Target Audience:** \"Who's your primary audience? What tension does your product resolve for them?\"\n\n### 3d. Production Constraints\n\n**Team Size:** \"How big is your creative team?\"\n- Options: Small (1-3), Medium (4-8), Large (9+)\n\n**Production Capabilities:** \"What formats can your team produce?\"\n- Options (multi-select): UGC, Static images, Motion graphics, Full video production, Animation, Photography\n\n**Max Difficulty:** \"What's the most complex production your team should take on?\"\n- Options: Low (static, simple UGC), Medium (edited UGC, motion graphics), High (full production, multi-scene)\n\n### 3e. Brief Preferences\n\n\"Do you have a custom brief template your team uses, or should we use the default?\"\n- If custom: Ask the user to describe their format or paste it. Save to `references/custom-brief-template.md`\n- If default: Keep the built-in template\n\n### 3f. Reporting Defaults\n\n\"What time range do you typically analyze?\" (default: LAST_30_DAYS)\n\n\"How many creatives per metric is useful?\" (default: 10)\n\n### 3g. Metric Preferences\n\n\"Are there specific metrics you always want to see first, or any you want excluded from analysis?\"\n- **Primary metrics**: Always show these first (e.g., ROAS, CPA)\n- **Secondary metrics**: Show when going deeper (e.g., HOOK, CTR_ALL)\n- **Exclude metrics**: Never show these (e.g., irrelevant conversion types)\n\nIf the user doesn't have preferences, leave these empty — skills will auto-detect based on creative format and campaign objective.\n\n### 3h. Glossary Categories\n\nIf `get_glossary_values` returned categories, show them: \"These taxonomy categories are available: [list]. Which ones matter most for pattern analysis? (or keep all)\"\n\n### 3i. Slack Channel (if Slack MCP available)\n\n\"Where should morning briefings be posted?\" Search Slack for creative-related channels to suggest options.\n\n## Step 4: Apply Settings\n\nWrite all gathered values to `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}/motion-creative.config.md` using this structure:\n\n```markdown\n---\n# motion-creative configuration\n# Created by /customize. Plugin updates will not touch this file.\n\n# ── Motion Workspace ──\nworkspace_id: \"the-workspace-id\"\nworkspace_name: \"The Workspace Name\"\n\n# ── Primary KPI ──\nprimary_kpi: \"ROAS\"\n\n# ── Secondary KPIs ──\nsecondary_kpis:\n - \"HOOK\"\n - \"CPA\"\n\n# ── Competitors ──\ncompetitors:\n - \"competitor1.com\"\n - \"competitor2.com\"\n\n# ── Reporting Defaults ──\ndefault_date_preset: \"LAST_30_DAYS\"\ndefault_creative_limit: 10\nmorning_briefing_lookback: \"LAST_7_DAYS\"\n\n# ── Demographic Focus ──\ndemographic_focus: \"both\"\ntarget_demographics:\n - \"25-34\"\n - \"35-44\"\n\n# ── Production Constraints ──\nteam_size: \"small\"\nproduction_capabilities:\n - \"UGC\"\n - \"static\"\n - \"motion graphics\"\nmax_production_difficulty: \"Medium\"\n\n# ── Brief Preferences ──\nbrief_format: \"default\"\n\n# ── Metric Preferences ──\nprimary_metrics: []\nsecondary_metrics: []\nexclude_metrics: []\n\n# ── Glossary Priority Categories ──\npriority_glossary_categories: []\n\n# ── Notification Channel ──\nslack_channel: \"\"\n---\n\n# Brand Guidelines\n\n## Brand Voice\n[Populated from user answers and get_workspace_brand]\n\n## Brand Positioning\n[Populated from user answers and get_workspace_brand]\n\n## Creative Do's\n[Populated from user answers]\n\n## Creative Don'ts\n[Populated from user answers]\n\n## Target Audience\n[Populated from user answers]\n\n## Current Campaign Themes\n[Populated from user answers]\n```\n\nReplace all bracketed placeholders with real values from the user's answers and Motion API data. Every field should have an actual value — no placeholders, no empty descriptions.\n\n## Step 5: Summary\n\nPresent what was configured:\n\n```markdown\n## Your Motion Creative Setup\n\n**Workspace:** [name]\n**Primary KPI:** [metric] | **Secondary:** [metrics]\n**Competitors:** [list]\n**Team:** [size] team with [capabilities]\n**Brief format:** [default/custom]\n\n### Brand Summary\n- Voice: [summary]\n- Positioning: [summary]\n- Key rules: [do's/don'ts highlights]\n\n### What's Next\nYour settings are saved in `motion-creative.config.md`. Plugin updates won't touch this file.\n\nRun these commands to start getting value:\n- `/performance-analysis` — see what's working right now\n- `/morning-briefing` — get tomorrow's daily delta\n- `/industry-trends` — see what competitors are doing\n```\n\n## Important Rules\n\n- **Never assume industry defaults.** If Motion data doesn't provide the answer and the user hasn't said, ask.\n- **Skip what's already configured.** On re-runs, only touch what the user asked to change.\n- **Use Motion data first.** Don't ask the user for things the workspace already knows.\n- **Plain language only.** Never mention \"frontmatter\", \"YAML\", or \"config file internals\" to the user.\n- **Don't rename anything.** Only replace values and update content.\n"
