All rights reserved._\n\n# get-started\n\nThe user has just connected the withPICA Directory, or asked what it does. Orient them in one short message, then let them choose.\n\n## Say what it is (two lines, plain words)\n\n> The withPICA Directory lets you search songs and their rights: who wrote and published a song, its codes (ISWC, ISRC, IPI), how confirmed each credit is, and how to ask the owner about licensing. Every song in it was listed by the people who own it.\n\n## Offer three ways in\n\n> You could ask:\n> - **\"Who owns [song]?\"** I'll show the writers, publishers and how confirmed the credits are.\n> - **\"Find something upbeat, around 120bpm, for a car ad.\"** I'll search by sound and build a shortlist.\n> - **\"I want to license [song].\"** I'll help you send the owner an enquiry.\n\nThen stop and let them pick. Don't run a search they didn't ask for.\n\n## Route to the right skill\n\n| They want | Use |\n|---|---|\n| Who's behind a song, or a code lookup | `who-owns-this-song` |\n| Music for a brief, mood or scene | `find-music-for-sync-brief` |\n| To use a song | `request-a-licence` |\n\n## Be honest about size\n\nThe directory grows as owners list their catalogues, so some searches come back empty. When that happens, say it isn't listed **yet** and pass on the directory's note once. Never suggest a song doesn't exist, and never fill a gap from memory.\n"
