  "skill_md_contents": "---\nname: get-started\ndescription: Create, style and publish email countdown timers with ClickTimer, get embed code for any email platform, publish timers to Klaviyo as content blocks, and check impressions and credits.\n---\n\n# ClickTimer — getting started\n\nClickTimer renders live countdown timers as images that display in Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook.\n\n## Typical workflow\n\n1. **Check the account**: use GetUserProfileTool and ListCreditsTool to see the credit balance, and ListIntegrationsTool to see whether Klaviyo or Mailchimp is connected.\n2. **Create a timer**: use CreateCountdownTool with a title and a target date in ISO 8601 format. Always confirm the timezone with the user (default is UTC). Styling options include background and text colors (hex), font, size preset, labels and an optional click-through link.\n3. **Adjust it**: use UpdateCountdownTool with the timer UUID. Changing a timer that is already live in sent emails changes what recipients see.\n4. **Get the embed code**: use GetEmbedCodeTool and give the user the HTML to paste into their email platform.\n5. **Publish to Klaviyo** (only if Klaviyo is connected, check with GetKlaviyoStatusTool): use PublishToKlaviyoTool. It creates a reusable Universal Content block in the user's Klaviyo account; existing templates are not modified. ListKlaviyoTemplatesTool lists the user's templates.\n6. **Test**: SendTestEmailTool sends the timer to an address the user provides (limited to 5 per hour).\n7. **Measure**: GetCountdownAnalyticsTool returns impressions for one timer over 7, 30 or 90 days.\n\n## Good practice\n\n- Ask for the timezone before creating a timer with a local deadline.\n- Before deleting a timer (DeleteCountdownTool), confirm with the user: the timer stops rendering in emails already sent.\n"
