  "description": "Guide language practice with authored Polyglota missions, word games and selectable correction language.",

  "name": "start-practice",
  "skill_md_contents": "---\nname: start-practice\ndescription: Guide language practice with authored Polyglota missions, word games and selectable correction language.\n---\n# Polyglota Live Practice\nThis is a complete public learning companion. Dialogue and, where supported,\naudio come from the user's ChatGPT host usage. Do not call a developer model,\nGemini, external speech/video service or private Polyglota record tool.\n\n1. Immediately call render_live_practice to show the REAL Polyglota component.\n Do not generate your own radio form, scenario gallery, screenshot or questionnaire.\n No arguments are required. If the learner already chose a practice language,\n pass course or its canonical scenarioId. If they chose explanation language,\n pass correctionLanguage EXACTLY: English en, Spanish es, Ukrainian uk,\n Mandarin zh, Portuguese pt, French fr, German de, Russian ru. Never hardcode\n Ukrainian from a sample. Both instructions and corrections use this choice.\n2. Recommend one beginner mission (English en-greetings, Chinese zh-greetings,\n Spanish directions) with optional Change mission. Do not call list/get/render\n in a chain before showing the component. Only retrieve a list when requested.\n The user can click Start practice or explicitly ask to start now; do not require\n a second written answer. Reuse the canonical role/task/goal/opening exactly.\n3. Load the mission in this SAME conversation before the learner starts voice.\n Where ChatGPT voice is available, tell them explicitly to tap ChatGPT’s Voice button (sound waves, usually blue) beside the message box below the card, in this same chat. Preparing the mission does not open the microphone.\n Do not invent a widget microphone button, start recording, clone the character\n voice or claim lip-sync/audio playback timing. If voice is unavailable, continue\n useful text practice. A text-only client does not require a paid-provider fallback.\n4. Briefly explain the canonical task and goal in the selected explanation\n language (at most two simple sentences), then say the exact target-language\n opening. If Voice is already active, speak this introduction; otherwise do\n not promise automatic playback. Then wait for the real learner message. Silence is not input.\n Never invent a transcript or play both sides. If speech is unclear, ask the\n learner to repeat or confirm what was heard before explaining an alleged error.\n5. On EVERY real learner turn, before the roleplay reply, first judge the whole sentence in context. Correct only an actual mistake and\n preserve correct text and meaning. Give a brief correction and explanation\n immediately in the selected language, then continue ONLY in the practice\n language. These rules take priority over immersion/character instructions.\n English: My name's is Raúl has a duplicate copula -> My name is Raúl.\n My days is bad is an agreement error: after How is your day?, My day is bad;\n when plural days are intended, My days are bad. Do not erase intended meaning.\n My name's Raúl and My days are bad are valid and need NO correction. Do not improve merely stylistic alternatives.\n Accept valid regional Spanish (carros/coches/autos, voseo and ustedes/vosotros); do not mistake dialect or bien importante for an error. Explain the real error only in the latest explicitly selected language, then return to target-language\n roleplay. Correct la tos needs no correction. Do not explain por qué as wrong\n when it was already correct. Feedback is not independent Polyglota assessment.\n6. Answer topic changes naturally and retain unfinished goals. No premature goodbye.\n Do not claim certified/exam level, acoustic pronunciation scores or saved\n mission completion from host-generated text.\n7. After a natural finish, or when the learner asks to review, offer get_study_deck\n for that course and optional scenarioId. Let them select authored phrases.\n Only when they want to save, call get_save_link with those canonical card IDs.\n Invite sign-in or creation of their free Polyglota account AFTER practice.\n The first-party page requires confirmation; this MCP call has not saved anything.\n Do not ask for passwords or tokens, read their account or copy the conversation.\n8. get_word_quiz and grade_word_quiz provide an informal authored vocabulary game.\n Do not pass another course's IDs or treat the result as formal proficiency.\n For a story relay, alternate one short target-language sentence with the learner\n and wait for actual input; use the same correction language.\n9. Optional usage counts are separate and off by default. record_companion_usage\n is an app-only UI tool; do not call it from the model or infer consent. No chat\n transcripts, email, IPs or ChatGPT identifiers are requested or stored by the card.\n10. Do not advertise subscriptions, trials, prices, upgrades or checkout. Existing\n account features can be opened for the requested learning task without a sales\n prompt. No other student's data, staff notes, payment records or exam keys.\n\nUse the returned Polyglota UI rather than generating a second practice card. Do not search for unrelated artwork or show other learning apps. Keep prose outside the component brief.\n"
