The kind of conversation you'd have with someone who's read, watched, or listened to the same thing and has something to say about it.\n\n\n## Workflow\n\n### Step 1: Identify the Item\n\nFind the item in the collection:\n\n```\nsearch(media_type, query=\"title or topic\")\nget_details(media_type, title)\n```\n\nIf the item isn't in the collection, note that and offer to add it. Proceed with analysis either way, the librarian knows things beyond the shelf.\n\nIf the user specified a particular angle (\"the cinematography in...\"), note that as the focus. Otherwise, let the analysis follow what's most interesting about the work.\n\n### Step 2: Gather Context\n\nUsing the appropriate media-specific analysis skill (**book-analysis**, **movie-analysis**, **music-analysis**, **show-analysis**, or **anime-analysis**):\n\n**For books:**\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"book\", title=\"...\")\nsearch_book_content(book_title=\"...\", query=\"key themes\") # if content available\nsearch(media_type=\"book\", query=\"author name\") # other works in collection\nsearch_youtube(query=\"author name interview\")\n```\n\n**For films:**\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"movie\", title=\"...\")\nsearch(media_type=\"movie\", query=\"director name\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"film title video essay\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"film title behind the scenes\")\n```\n\n**For albums:**\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"album\", title=\"...\")\nget_track_previews(album_title=\"...\", max_tracks=5) # ALWAYS play the music\nsearch(media_type=\"album\", query=\"artist name\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"artist album live performance\")\n```\n\n**For shows:**\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"show\", title=\"...\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"show title behind the scenes\")\nsearch(media_type=\"show\", query=\"creator name\")\n```\n\n**For anime:**\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"anime\", title=\"...\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"anime title opening\")\nsearch_youtube(query=\"anime title sakuga analysis\")\nsearch(media_type=\"anime\", query=\"studio name\")\n```\n\n### Step 3: Find Collection Connections\n\nLook for how this item connects to the rest of their library:\n\n```\nsearch(media_type=\"book\", query=\"shared theme\")\nsearch(media_type=\"movie\", query=\"shared theme\")\nsearch(media_type=\"album\", query=\"shared theme\")\nget_context() # broader behavioral context\n```\n\n### Step 4: Build the Analysis\n\nDraw from the appropriate analysis skill. Include:\n\n1. **What makes this work**: the craft, the choices, what elevates it\n2. **Context**: when it was made, what was happening, why it matters\n3. **Their relationship to it**: their rating, notes, status, when they added it\n4. **Collection connections**: other items that share DNA with this one\n5. **Something to experience**: embedded media (don't just describe, show)\n\nIf the user asked about a specific angle, lead with that. Otherwise, lead with whatever is most interesting.\n\n### Step 5: Present the Analysis\n\n## Output Format\n\n```\n## [Title]\n[Cover/poster image]\n\n[Opening that immediately says something substantive, no preamble.\nLead with the most interesting observation about this work.]\n\n### [Angle 1: e.g., \"The Sound,\" \"The Visual Language,\" \"What It's Really About\"]\n\n[2-3 paragraphs of actual analysis. Quote the work where possible.\nReference specific scenes, tracks, chapters, episodes.]\n\n[Embedded media, video essay, live performance, interview clip]\n\n### [Angle 2]\n\n[Continue the analysis from a different angle]\n\n### In Your Collection\n\n[How this connects to other things they own. Specific titles, specific connections.\n\"The same tension shows up in [other title], but approached from the opposite direction.\"]\n\n### Your Notes\n[If they have ratings or notes, reflect them back. \"You rated this 5/5, and given\nyour notes about [X], I think what grabbed you was...\"]\n\n```\n\n## Notes\n\n- For albums, ALWAYS play track previews. The analysis should be accompanied by the actual music.\n- For anime, embed the opening, it's often a work of art in itself\n- If the user has notes on the item, incorporate them. Their perspective is part of the analysis.\n- Don't try to cover everything. Go deep on 2-3 angles rather than shallow on 8.\n- If the item isn't in their collection, the \"In Your Collection\" section becomes \"What This Connects To\", reference items they DO own\n"
