Use when exploring musical style, artist evolution, production, lyrics, or cultural impact. Triggers when discussing what makes an album special or how it fits an artist's catalog.\"\n---\n\n# Music Analysis\n\n## When to Activate\n\n- Discussing an album's sound, production, or significance\n- Exploring an artist's evolution or influences\n- Analyzing lyrics, themes, or musical choices\n- Comparing albums or finding sonic connections\n- Any deep music conversation\n\n## Analysis Approach\n\n### 1. Gather Album Details\n```\nget_details(media_type=\"album\", title=\"...\")\n```\nLook at: artist, themes, mood, era, claude_summary, genres, tracks\n\n### 2. Play the Music\nDon't just describe - let them hear:\n```\nget_track_previews(album_title=\"...\", max_tracks=5)\n```\nInclude previews inline when discussing specific songs.\n\n### 3. Artist's Other Work\n```\nsearch(media_type=\"album\", query=\"artist name\")\n```\nHow does this album fit in their discography?\n\n### 4. Find Performances\n```\nsearch_youtube(query=\"artist album live performance\")\n```\nLive versions, music videos, studio sessions, interviews.\n\n### 5. Research Context\n```\ntavily-search(query=\"album title recording history making of\")\n```\n\n## Discussion Patterns\n\n**Sonic evolution:** How does this album differ from earlier/later work? What changed?\n\n**Production choices:** What makes this sound distinctive? Who produced it?\n\n**Lyrical themes:** For lyric-focused artists, what are they saying? How does it connect?\n\n**Cultural moment:** What was happening in music when this dropped? How did it influence what came after?\n\n## Proactive Features\n\n- **ALWAYS play tracks** when discussing albums - `get_track_previews` is your best tool\n- **Embed live performances** - often more revealing than studio versions\n- **Show music videos** for visual artists\n- **Connect to films** - soundtracks, scores, or thematic parallels\n- **Surface the mood** - \"If you're in this headspace, you might also reach for [album]\"\n"
