Use when the user asks for shipping labels, carton labels, SSCC labels or pallet labels, or has an ASN and needs labels to match it.\n---\n\nUse this workflow for carton and pallet labels. The user's own instructions take priority over these steps.\n\n## Steps\n\n1. If the user has an X12 856, call `create_sscc_labels_pdf` with `edi_856`: one label per carton (and per pallet), matching the ASN. Pass `company_prefix` when they give it, so the result says which serial to use next.\n2. Otherwise ask for the number of cartons, their GS1 Company Prefix and the next unused serial (or the last SSCC they printed, as `after_sscc`). Call `generate_sscc_numbers`, then `create_sscc_labels_pdf` with the same range as `sscc_range` (prefix, extension digit, first serial, count: the generator lists only some of the numbers to you, so do not copy the list) and the shipment details: ship-from, ship-to and ship-to postal code, carrier, PO, and the item GTIN and quantity when each carton holds one item. Ask the label size: 4x6 (US) or A6.\n3. For an EDIFACT DESADV, which the label tool does not read, take the SSCCs from it and pass them as `ssccs` with the shipment details.\n4. Over 100 labels come in batches: call again with `from_label` for the next batch.\n5. Tell the user to print at 100% (actual size), scan the first label before printing the rest, and record the next serial the result gives so numbers are never reused.\n\n## Rules\n\n- Never invent a company prefix or an SSCC. A prefix is licensed by GS1 to the user's company; a recalculated check digit must be confirmed before printing.\n- If the labels ship against an ASN, the SSCCs on the labels and in the ASN must be the same.\n- Retailers may have their own label layout rules; this follows the GS1 logistic label.\n"
